Gina, thank you so much for bringing your viewers along. I live in the US and will never have the opportunity to visit the Liberty shop. It looks GORGEOUS!! The video you took is very detailed. I felt as if I were there, which is the next best thing. The closest I will ever get to feeling one of Liberty fabrics is from Joann Fabric store which just started curating a very limited amount of Liberty cotton tana lawn. Anyways, thanks again for the video!

I visited Liberty's for the first time a couple of months ago, and honestly it was an amazing experience! 💖 I was like a child let loose in Santa's warehouse 😁 I didn't dare look too closely at the silks as I didn't want to fall in love with one, persuade myself it was too much money, and then make myself very sad by not being able to get it out of my head... I am sure you can relate! But the Tana cotton lawn is such a gorgeous fabric that I told myself it was totally special enough 😊 I did fall in love with one Tana lawn design that they didn't have much of on the bolt, and they had no more in stock - devastating 😭 - but they assured me there was more due in, so I checked the website every day and ordered more as soon as it was available. So now I have enough for a simple but awesome (hopefully 🤞) dress. I have a wedding to attend next Summer, so my plan is to make it in the Spring, really taking time and care over every step - French seams, hand-stitched finishes, the works - to ensure it turns out perfectly. I've got to do that beautiful fabric justice! If you can't stop thinking about any of those fabrics that caught your eye, treat yourself to an early Christmas present and order enough online to make a dress - that would be my advice 😊

I wish I'd done the same as you and not looked at the silks 😂 how exciting you got your dream fabric!! Which one is it? The Tana lawns are the most fantastic quality, even they are such a treat but still so wearable. That's such great advice, I've still got that Teal silk on my mind so I'm going to be begging my family for vouchers and if not, I'm treating myself!!

Wow, it is hard to choose because there are so many pretty fabrics there to purchase. The teal, turquoise fabric is my absolute favorite because the color is so striking and beautiful to me. Honestly, with the high price point you really need to think twice before purchasing. I would buy whatever fabric you will get the most wear out of and make whatever garment you wear the most.

I absolutely love the hours spent in Liberty's especially at Xmas, their fabric is in a league of its own and there is nothing quite like their Tana Lawn. I think you should return to the shop ,ALONE and wait for inspiration to strike !!!!

Gorgeous fabrics and I really enjoyed your video! I have made a deer and doe melilot shirt (with invisible placket) in a navy floral tana lawn and it’s wonderful! Have made a few pairs of Carolyn pjs in various Liberty tana lawns, which are amazing and my next plan is a fabric godmother peony dress in a tana lawn. I’d love a silk twill but it’s soooo expensive! Have fun! Btw the place is overwhelming but if you buy online you can even return it if you make a mistake but only if you return it untouched!

I have been next to plenty of good men in fabric shops for shirt materials, and jackets etc,and they are brillient to talk to, have a laugh with them, I am not sure if their is any discrimination between only women or men. I personally have not come across this problem. Brillient men and women make very good tailors.✝️🇬🇧🕊️
