I really liked this! It's so cool that they know what to do even without the halter/head collar and lead rope

They are amazingly smart! And they remember what they've been taught, especially when they have regular practise. Same as it is for us, the repetition makes it easy, even though it may not have been at first. Untrained horses sometimes take time to figure out each individual step. But given a few seconds for each little bit to soak in, and then ending on a positive note, with a big treat, or big rub, or favorite food, their memories are greatly enhanced. The experts say not to try to overdo it, but just keep it simple, repeat yesterdays lesson first thing today. And just do a small step every day. They constantly say that rushing is a huge mistake, and that you have to perfect each step before moving on. Makes a lot of sense to me!

My horse used to «ran off» when i was going up on him, so i accidentally ended up teaching him some of these tricks, for example the sideway walking for him to stand still while sitting up. These things can come in handy in everyday life! Academic riding too. Very handy to know about!

ahhh I can’t wait to get my own horses in the future. my dream is to have a load of rescues (ponies, cobs, ottbs) and just do full liberty work, obstacle courses, free jumping and everything so they can be as happy, fit and comfy as possible. this video was really enlightening and actually taught me a lot. Hi esme! I commented on your team seas video I believe and you hearted it and replied to me and it made my year! The comment was about how I just had my first competition and you said good job to me and I was so ecstatic and I’ve now moved barns due to toxicity and i am going to have my first lesson at my new barn (as of now) next Tuesday I’ve only been riding for a little over year but I feel I’ve had so much progress! Great video as always 😊I recently found this life hack out and I’m not sure if you’ve heard of it before but you basically have a shopping basket or a basket similar and when you muck out you put the poo in it and give it a little shake and it gets rid of most the clean shavings
