Is this the evolution of the mono blue control deck that you guys had on here recently? Or a different deck?

1:25 In game 1, when the monoblue guy played Thirst for Discovery discarded 2 cards, and at least one of them was a basic land card, and Thirst for Discovery says you discard 2 cards unless you discard a basic land. Not sure if it was on purpose or just misread the card

I'm curious about the mono blue Hammer deck. Is there a way for it to put down and attach the hammer to a creature early game? Never seen him play it during the games. or I might have skipped a scene maybe?

You can kick the skydiver to equip the hammer for 1

Newbie question is there a rule about cutting the opponent deck?

You should offer your deck to your opponent anytime you shuffle it. They may decline, cut it, or even shuffle it. At higher level events it is required to at least cut the deck.
