Anytime you hear of a black bear in a tree in Ridgewood or Ho-Ho-Kus, I bet it got there via the NJ Transit tracks from the Ramapo Mountains. It is heavily wooded on both sides with some exceptions in Waldwick and Ramsey, but during night travel, not many notice a bear moving south near the tracks.

Thank you for watching Robert, yup a real nice area and station. Yup pretty wooded too, for those bears and especially dear which I have even seen there several times.

Thank you for watching Nate, greetings from Ho-Ho-Kus in Bergen County, NJ. Absolutely it is a great spot to watch trains, on the weekend the station is lightly used, but come during the week much more activity. The is used pretty well by commuters during the week. Hard to believe something like this exists as far as the scenery goes and yet still very close to New York City, which is about 45 - to an hour train ride to the city.

Same here hope your Mom had a good Mother's Day as well 🙂

@@LibertyRailfan You're welcome Adam. Ohh a station with two different stories - depending on the week anyway. Yeah that is hard to believe really, and there are a lot of areas that you won't think its in a city... My mom had a good Mothers Day - thanks for asking.

Holy Ho-Ho-Ho-Kus! Now this one's different, I think it's been a while since you've visited there Adam. Love that cool old field stone station, it's a classic from the Erie days and it's good to see it's still there. Speaking of which I'm suprised the N-S freight didn't use the traditional freight tracks nearest to the mid right-of way fence, that's how it was done in the Erie days. But I guess it doesn't matter much. Interesting as always! Thanks for posting!

Thank you for watching Wayne, greetings from Ho-Ho-Kus yeah I had to change it up.. Wanted to see some Main Line action as well... As for H70 I was surprised too, to see it come on track 3 instead of the inner track 1.. I guess down at Ridgewood station/junction there probably was a train occupying track 1 or something, so dispatch ran him on track 3...

May i ask which radio frequency is used by NJT i have been trying to find it but no luck
@LibertyRailfan7 ай бұрын
Please read this video description, I have it listed 161.400.
@LibertyRailfan7 ай бұрын
Please message me but Transit does use different frequencies for different lines. Most of the Hoboken division uses 161.400, but other lines such as on the Newark uses different frequencies.
