I always loved trains and railroading in general. My grandfather on my mother's side would take me to the station when i was about 4 or 5 there to see trains.

That's great! Ask any Railfan how they got started and most will start out, "When I was a kid, my (fill with someone's name) took me to..." And let's not forget the first "Horn Salute" we all received from waving at the Crew, that might be the biggest bond of all!

I've seen "Please don't 👅the truck" ones a few times on trains 1:46 nuclear waste train 2:10 Soo Line hoppers 2:45 CSX 1973 leading 2:59 NS ex-BNSF dash 9 3:19 wow, NS 1069 and 8098 doubleheading! 3:34 Amtrak 161 "Arrow" on the Southwest chief 4:05 12-unit power move. All dash 9s except for the 11th unit which is an H2 GEVO. 5:02 CP GEVO, KCS SD70ACe, CP GEVO, CP Desert Storm Military SD70ACu, CP AC44CW, CP heritage SD70ACu, and CSX AC44CW 5:19 one of the cars on this NS welded rail train has a height gauge wire to clean the roofs of tunnels 6:02 ex-citirail GEVO and an SD40-2 that was built for CN which explains the extended roof of the electrical compartment, sold to KCS and got repainted gray, then sold to Grand Trunk Western where it got the number 5951 using Illinois Central Stencils and the CN logo 6:14 CSX 1852 in Western Maryland country 6:42 CSX 1976 7:04 Northern Sky private car on the Capitol Limited 7:52 large mOW equipment moving itself over the Burlington bridge 8:25 CN doubleheader with marker lights on! The trailing unit is an ex-BC Rail unit 8:56 NS 4005 with new CPKC GATX autoracks. i believe only one loco has been painted in CPKC red, yellow ,and black so far 9:22 Chessie and Conrail boxcars 10:03 this one car missed its opportunity to turn right before the train blocked it. It's only a 4-car local job so the train managed to stop before it hit the car 11:24 busted SP boxcar door 12:13 CP heritage and CN doubleheading 12:43 Amtrak 187 with Big Game Train logos leading the California Zephyr 13:33 BNSF 5441 is painted in H2, but has the mid-section of an H1 loco 13:40 UP yellow and warbonnet doubleheader 14:14 this guy runs in front of two oncoming trains! One has a KCS, NS, and CP triple-header

That Cask car wasn't loaded with spent fuel rods those get carried in a different carrier looks like a barbell. That one had a full core for a new either submarine or Ford CVN onboard and since the new Big E is getting her reactors soon I would bet that was one of them.

I enjoyed seeing the Northern Sky Charter, Dome-car at Elkhart. It must be great having Coaches like that, our lousy UK Loading Gauge is so small and Victorian-minded - there's no chance of anything like it. The name 'Northern Sky' reminded me of the American Folk-singer John McCormick, whom I met a couple times on his UK Tours and he performs the song, 'Northern Sky', which I like very much.

Hi Peter, Exactly what I mean. Private Cars attached to a Service Train is another example of something that would never be allowed or tolerated by the Rail Operators, Network Rail or Trade Unions - here in the UK. That is one of the reasons why USA Railroads are so good.@@Peter-mt6lg

Can anyone comment on whether the “debris” dragging from the SP boxcar in Wichita would have been detected by a dragging-equipment indicator? 🤔

The detectors I have seen only have detection plates along the tie length. The object hanging out in Wichita would probably not be detected - looked like it was dragging out beyond the tie.
