I call it "Interest in monolithic divine" Hokma is composed, wise, refined and sophisticated. He has seen many things and has set his mind. He holds certain beliefs regardless of evidence, or much of personal gain, or out of pressure of his situation. He had simply chosen to believe, and he stands his ground as solidly and confidently as any man could be. He has no hardship in dealing with critism, which leaves no scratches in his beliefs, and, of course, has a word to say about you and the way you hold beliefs. He is no fanatic though, just an old man with a view on things.

Despite what a lot of comments said, i think this description of Hokma is laregely on point in ruina too. It's just that instead of him wanting to keep the purgatory of lobcorp going forever he is now just strictly abiding by Ayin's plan and blindly follows his will. He is not bitter anymore, but he's still an old, rigid fanatic. So i, for one, consider author's analysis, once again, successful. P.S. Really waiting for Binah

Yeah Hokma is an old gay bastard who is strict and a lot of his old issues revolved around not wanting things to change. He's more into understanding and making peace with the past but he does want to make a new future for the sake of the guy he loved.

What is intriguing about Hokma's character is how he evolves between the first and second games. All of the Sephirot change over time, but Hokma's change is almost... in reverse. In Lobotomy Corportation, all of the Sephirot are (understandably) antagonistic towards you in one way or another. Some don't believe in your abilities, while others downright despise you. The only outlier is Hokma. He deeply cares and believes in you, even after what was done to him. His problem stems from the fear of losing everything and everyone he cares about, so he chooses to remain in a hellish cycle where he can be by your side. The player must demonstrate their readiness and ability to move on. In Library of Ruina, you are no longer in the shoes of the person he loves. His beloved has been sent away, so he appears bitter rather than warm and supportive, while the other Sephirot have chilled out. He's still deeply devoted to the first game's protagonist, his goal, and his beloved's goal was seemingly squandered. Even when he's questioned and confronted with all of his mentor's/friend's horrible actions, he remains faithful to him. Still, even after losing the one who mattered most to him, he remains kind and wise, becoming the main guiding hand for the creation he helped make.

In both Lobcopr and Ruina, Binah and Hokma are the last two major characters you meet. One of them leads to The Eye Facing the Fear, Breaking the Cycle. One of them leads to The Eye Embracing the Past, Building the Future. I think Binah was one of the early ruina themes you covered? Could listen to them together, but with how accurate you've been on describing the characters its probably pretty easy to tell which is which.
