You made my day. I'm the publisher of Bloodletting Press titles and it is great to see some of my work on your shelves. Those Steve Gerlach novels novels were a lot of fun to publish. Thanks so much for displaying them so nicely. You have a beautiful library.

Superb! The Vollmann 7Vol. set is quite impressive! I also have that Cicero quote stitched in a pillow around my shelves. So many great hardback editions sir! Thanks for sharing

This was a fun library tour! You have such an amazing collection! You've created a new goal for me...to someday have a massive library in my home.
@anotherbibliophilereads2 жыл бұрын
It’s taken me more than 30 years to collect this library. Over the years I have had to sell some books too. I’m glad you liked it. The library has recently moved to Virginia.

Plexiglas sheets--genius!!

Yeah, I know that someday I’ll probably have a cat with a UTI and those sheets will save books.

I saw a first edition of Vurt going for over $500. Outstanding collection Greg😊

I’m not sure if any would buy a first edition Vurt at that price, but a seller can always hope. Thanks for watching.

Awesome library. Reminds me of a fellow I used to carpet clean a few years ago. The customer had higher shelves filled with dvds. The interesting and smart thing about the dvd movie collector was how much money he saved by staying at home and watching new movies. Some of the cinemas tickets have gotten too expensive (depending on where you live). I miss my book library :( :( :(

P.S. Fade to Blonde. Great title. I'm a blonde (nice contribution lol).
@anotherbibliophilereads2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I guess the cost of a DVD is about the same as a movie ticket nowadays. But in my movie going hay days tickets where less than $5 for the matinee and few folks had home VHS play.

What an incredible library! Wow so many enviable titles 🤩 The plexiglass covers are a clever idea. What’s your new library going to look like? I’d be freaking out to have strangers wandering near those shelves. When I sold my house, I put all my books in storage. Best of luck with the move.

I have a hunch it would be fun to hang out in real life. If the books in one’s house are in any way representive of the soul, then the Venn diagram of our collections should be indicative of a long and interesting conversation.

It’s sad, but in real life I know no one with an interesting library.

Why are you moving?
@anotherbibliophilereads3 жыл бұрын
I grew up in the Washington DC area and met my wive there. We moved to the Seattle area in 2005 for her job. She's wanted to move back for a few years , but it wasn't realistic with both our jobs out here. With the pandemic, however, both our jobs became full time remote, so we both got permission to become truly remote workers.

Doesn't your wife complain? About you buying so many books and also spending so much time with your books??. Mine does.

I think she’s good at going with the flow. Books keep me out of any real trouble and our house is big enough to hold them all.
