Completely agree, not a single agent suggests you to buy the LIC Tech term plan, which is the excellent term insurance product of LIC because it has very less commissions for them. So they are more inclined toward selling endowment plans, and in the future as well it will continue to happen. If LIC becomes aggressive in selling its protection plans online, then it might bring up more revenues due to increasing financial literacy.

First of all LIC has a huge claim ratio for the people who are from below margin groups. Online you can buy many policies but at the time of claim you will run. Second LIC has a growing percentage of 7 percent as you told but never compare its volume with others. LIC has a big opportunities for the people who earn with a great margin through agencies. LIC has many pros you didn't discussed but remember LIC is our country's pride. You have a complete right to invest or not but the major impacts you told it's your version to explore. Thank you

Totally Agree, I was also of the same opinion, also the agents which are taking credit for the growth of the company are the same people which are the root cause of the stagnant/ slow growth. These people only promote policies which have a higher comission and avoid selling the policy which is actually beneficial for the customer nowadays. The agents which helped the company grow this big are long gone .

LIC is not just an insurance company. Im guessing its revenues from dividend income (of the various businesses it has holdings in) itself would be more than its insurance business profits. Its just like info edge ltd, its core business might not have much scope for growth but its investments surpass its core business revenues. So if one is investing in LIC, they indirectly are investing in all those companies in which LIC has investments.

The only IPO which got failed was Paytm because a. High Valuation even though it was a loss-making company. b. Diversified in an uncontrolled way. c. Low or less public interest and so inadequate retail subscription. d. Macquarie Report about the valuation as it was expensive. e. Other technical aspects There is no such aspect in LIC. LIC as requested for old rules to attract the HNI's. Discounts to employees, retailers, and policyholders so that they could also participate in great numbers.

then why don’t you buy lic shares with all your money😜? LIC is good for securing your future but investing in lic ipo is not for everyone! it’s just his opinion on lic ipo whether we should buy or not. Govt is just harming insurance company by giving too much privilege to pvt players. Insurance industry is a service oriented industry rather than profit making; so why is govt dissolving all psu(including insurance) which falls in a strategic sector.

This is a different product which will be consumed after a person leave this world.....Aaj b agar Mujhe Life Insurance lena h aur I have to be 100% sure that it wouldn't default, I would go for LIC anyday and that too to my local LIC agent and get the policy...... I dunt care if the company is keeping less margins or not......... LIC is now adopting telephonic sales as well....Moreover, I have trust on local agents at the time of claim - online is good for ease of taking policy but when I have agent to do all the stuff on my behalf why/what is the fun of me spending effort to buy it online...

You are correct but he said specially in this video that he has two perspectives, one as a consumer and one as a share holder. You are talking about consumet part and he is talking about shareholder part. Thats it.😅
@himanshumishrabadal68062 жыл бұрын
You are saying right sir, it's easy to claim LIC
@ervivekchoubey2 жыл бұрын
what you are saying is the customer point of view not the shareholder. Had it been so promising, LIC wouldn't have been losing market share per year. Regarding insurance company going default, that is controlled by IRDAI regulations under which any insurance company has to keep money in reserve and in some multiple so that they can fix claims as and when required. IRDAI regulations are strict and they make policyholders as the no. 1 priority for the insurance companies.
@hrishikeshbisen2 жыл бұрын
Majority of them takes general insurance with investment, only few of them takes term insurance. What will they do with mere 2 or 5 lac on death. Also most other private companies like sbi insurance also do term plan through agents only(large percentage) so no points of online/offline since other players are also providing that.
@hrishikeshbisen2 жыл бұрын
One more thing about company default, unlike banking realm, no company can default in insurance sector, on such instant insurance law has section which says ,such company must have to amalgam with other insurance company by IRDAI. So relax their. A bank can default in India(if govt don't want to save them) but a insurance company couldn't (mandatory law about that).

@shamikghosh73032 жыл бұрын
It is quite the opposite actually. In private the policies are issued rapidly as they have the hunger to do more policies. LIC ko koi farq nahi padta. My Tata policy was issued in 4 days and my friend's LIC policy (full premium paid upfront) hasn't been processed for the past 6 months. Regarding trust, if one can't trust companies like TATA AIA, HDFC Life, ICICI Pru Life then there's nothing left to say.
@shamikghosh73032 жыл бұрын
Most of the LIC policies are sold by our own neighbor, mama, chacha, mausi, bua. They sell it for commissions (which is fine), we buy it to save taxes. In between the knowledge about the importance of insurance in financial planning is missing. LIC hasn't done much to educate people on this. 90% of LIC products are a mix of insurance and investments which are neither good insurance, nor good investments.
