Amazing how no one seems to point out that what he's doing is basic Indian tabla vocalization, just adapted to western drumming. This technique's been around forever. He's even using the same syllables that tabla drummers use, so it's clearly something he picked up from them. This was such a cool thing for BD to do. :)

It's not Indian tabla vocalization, it's just vocalization. Sure, they might be known for it, but I think it's natural to sing it any way possible, such as this.
