I'm more and more impressed with that nibbler, you can just grab it and use it - the old ones like I have fit into a drill but it's then a two handed operation, which can be a pain. The slightly rough edge shouldn't be a problem for most tasks because it's rare that you won't be either welding the sheet to something else or doing some other form of fabrication with it. The big bonus over other cutting methods is the lack of distortion. Excellent little demo Ben, hope that answered your viewers question.

Many thanks. Did/do you have the Falcon brand nibbler? I do have one somewhere. Was originally made by a company local to me. I have an air nibbler which, when I get a compressor, I will review. It's smaller. Many thanks for watching!

@@BensWorkshop I can't remember if mine was the Falcon nibbler or the Turner nibbler - one seemed to come out later than the other, looking like a direct copy of the first one - I bought the later, cheaper one!!! I went into Lidl this morning and had to resist the temptation of getting one of their nibblers!!!!

That was very impressive. Not a tool I have a need for but amazed the ease you were able to hand hold tool and material whilst cutting.

They are quite good at that though they do drop a lot of nibbles about. Many thanks for watching!

I've seen that type of tool before but have never used one. Looks like it would be super handy for doing thin sheet metal work . Thanks for the description.

They can be useful if you have lots of sheet to cut. If you have a compressor you can also get air nibblers which are smaller. Many thanks for watching!

It does thin sheet in steel and aluminium where it can cut a bit thicker. Not sure I would try it on stainless. Many thanks for watching!

Can make a sharp 90° with my old pneu knibbler, just have to slow up and let it make it's own space, I rarely use it though because of those evil trimmings, you definitely want your overalls pulled down over your boots! Nice viddy Benedict.

@@BensWorkshop does it cut on the downstroke?

The electric one does, the pneumatic one cuts on the upstroke for some reason.
@turboconqueringmegaeagle9006
@turboconqueringmegaeagle9006 Жыл бұрын
@@BensWorkshop makes a bit more sense on the upstroke, means the bit of the die under the sheet doesn't need as much support which is what I'm guessing restricts the radius of the cut on the Parkside.
@BensWorkshop
@BensWorkshop Жыл бұрын
That's true, though I can't confirm the comparative cutting radius as I don't have a compressor at home.
