I've lived in Canada for about 20 years now. I'm half-Colombian, on my dad's side, and before we lived in Canada we lived in the US. When we became Canadian citizens, because I was born in the US, I got to have dual citizenship. My father, who was born in Bogota, had to give up his Colombian citizenship. My mother, on the other hand, was born in the US to a Canadian woman, my grandma. My mother never lived in Canada before she met my dad, but because of a Canadian law that allowed children born within a certain time frame to claim Canadian citizenship if their mother was Canadian, even if they'd never been to Canada, she was a legal citizen of Canada - and the US - before I was even born. Sounds like freedom to me too.

As a native aboriginal Canadian, this show is embarrassing, using native problems to bring up other problems outside of Canada, bringing in native culture as humor is also disappointing. whos is this show for? definitely not a kids show, no description of a kids show, watch the tralier for this and ask is it a kids show? why are we paying taxpayer money for garbage shows like this? watch out people something fishy about this show

@@versadorasonera I'm not confused by colonialism, that's easy to understand. What is confusing and my comment was focused at, is at 19 minutes and 20 seconds Lido says: "When I first came to Canada", from Colombia I imagine, "I had no idea indiginous people lived here". She says it like it is a failing of her education and by extension the Canadian education system, but prior to this point she had been living in Colombia, hence the confusion. Canada up to that point that had had no responsibility for educating her. Her answer to a question from the flower about not wanting to share in lived experiences should be a stinging rebuke against Colombia, I don't think she meant it against Colombia though.

Why wouldn't she be affected by people refusing to aknowledge colonialism (wich is a shared experience) in Canada when partially living there ? I don't get what you don't get. I also feel like you're focusing on details to avoid the big picture tbh... Columbia is a very dangerous place and it’s not because of Colonialism. You’re glorifying Columbia as though it’s not a total disaster, and vilifying Spain, which is a hugely popular tourist destination.
