There are now three iconic versions of this song. Simon and Garfunkel, Disturbed and now IAM. If you haven’t heard Disturb’s version you will love it. IAM is right up there with the best of them. His voice is magical!

I love Iam and each time I watch him sing, it brings tears to my eyes because he is able to connect so emotionally to the song. This is truly a talent and is very rare among performers. There will be singers who have higher octaves and who are more powerful vocally , but how many are able to interpret the songs so well? It seems that Iam has an innate talent to pick the right songs for his voice and then able to execute them perfectly. Some commentator on KZbin said that Iam reminds him of Bruno Mars but I don’t think they sound at all alike. Your comparison to Israel Kamakawiwo’ole is much better.
