I absolutely love your reactions to amazon's "adaptation" of WOT. Have your really not read the books? My favorite part is all the character names you come up with. I understood all of them except "Hollister" and "Not Jennifer". I googled Hollister and saw it was a clothing company for young simps, and based on Rand's outfit in the first episode of season 1, I think I got it . However, I still am not sure about " Not Jennifer". No matter, since she is "dead" , you can give her an new name. Also, I watched your "review" of WOT season 1 and really enjoyed that it featured BookBorn as a frustrated book reader trying to "explain" the differences. (please excuse all the "air quotes") I look forward to the rest of this season with Cliff, and Mean Girl, Not Galadriel, and all the Girl Bosses.

5:00 I guess they are trying to reference Gitara Moroso's Foretelling and the quest that Siuan and Moiraine took up after that. But the thing is Lan should already know about all that because Moiraine already told him all that in detail. So why is he acting surprised here? Also, all of this was 20 years ago. Moiraine and Siuan became Aes Sedai in record time, they were in their early 20s when they were raised to Aes Sedai. Meaning that Moiraine is barely in her 40s in the present time. So unless her " little sister" has a disease that makes her age rapidly it makes no sense.

It's when Moiriane realizes she's being manuevered to become Queen and does not want it.

The funniest thing about this adaption is the entire first season was about finding the dragon and saying he is the most powerful person in 3000 years that can literally save or break the world but he cannot beat any girl boss and they are more powerful than him. Why did they even need him again? How did the dragon even win 3000 years ago if any of the dark one's minions are more powerful than he is?

I know this is what they want to be the explanation, but this show is also very arbitrary about when experience matters. They made a conscious choice to neuter the male dragon to make the female characters more awesome.

I was super upset with the talk between 2.0 and not-Galadriel. This is because 2.0 says Hollister is _"as powerful as he was",_ not more powerful, keep that in mind. And it's been mentioned a couple times that Cliff Girl is _more_ powerful than 2.0! Also, Alanna made it _very_ clear that Mean Girl _10 times_ more powerful than Cliff Girl! I dunno, I don't see any problems with this. Men = nerfed. Women = PowerUP++. Regarding Hopper: "bet he didn't kill his own mate" - Oohh, snaap! Also, it's so nice to know our baddies, just like our goodies, find death as a mere inconvenience. Thank goodness there's nothing people need to fear in this world. That'd be a drag!

Going by nothing but what's been presented in the show, and that's really all that matters when discussing the show, Hollister is (and will remain) no more powerful than 2.0. *"Logain is in the top ten of men strength if I remember right..."* In the books, Logain is in the tier below Rand. According to Robert Jordan's power levels, Rand is power ++1 (the maximum). Logain is ++2. Taim is either ++2 or ++3. But, again, none of that information is presented in the show. *"... so not a bad take IMO"* Of course it's a bad take. The show has claimed that Cliff is either as powerful as, or more powerful than, 2.0. Who, according to the show, is the same strength as Hollister. Meaning Cliff is either as powerful as, or more powerful than, Hollister. They've also pointed out that Mean Girl is considerably _more powerful_ than Cliff, meaning she is also considerably more powerful than Hollister. You can't cherry pick a single data point that's essentially correct, ignore all of the other information surrounding that data point, and declare that the cherry picked point proves your claim (or is even reasonable). In reality, Nynaeve is strength 3, while Egwene is somewhere between 8 and 5 (it varies in Jordan's notes). Power 3 is 9 levels below Rand. And the tables Jordan made for these power levels aren't linear, meaning Rand is likely somewhere around twice as strong as Nynaeve, and potentially as much as 3 times as strong as Egwene, Elayne and Aviendha.

They even did Not Galadriel's sister dirty. Who is a woman who'd rather be a mother than deal with politics and seems really sweet. Taking after their father who was like the Black Sheep of the Damodred Family in that he wasn't a cutthroat politician and dared to marry a scholarly woman for love instead of getting more land. Also not Galaderiel is 42. She met Lan at 22 right after being raised to the shawl. Also, Not Galadriel and Suan were very happy. They played pranks. The night before being rasied Aes Sedai they got caught playing a prank. This show ahs diverged so far from the books, it needs to remove Wheel of Time from the title.

You're thinking of Innloine, who was stubborn, 'not terribly bright', and only cared about being a mother. Good point about the ages; I guess they've aged up Moiraine since her sister's actress is about seventy!

I'm confused, I thought the girl bosses at the hippy commune said they would travel with Not-Galadriel, going first to HQ, but it looks like Fruit Lady and simps came to the commune and Not-Galadriel went straight to Cairhien alone... How did she know to go there? Who knew where Bad Lady had taken Hollister? If Cliff leaves HQ, can she come back? Why would Princess follow someone she's known for like a week? Why are they leaving from the basement? Why did Hollister bother to shave his head when it's still obvious he's a redhead? Why are the wolves so tiny? Where is Head Girl Boss? Why are all girl bosses assholes? Will Gambler ever get to change his clothes? AAAAAaaaahhhh

Amazon has put out some really good shows. I can't believe how they botched this one so bad. Every single line of dialogue is a cliche cringe fest. Much of it doesn't even fit, they just want to jamb in as many cliche lines as they can even if it doesn't flow together. I can't tell if the acting is also really bad. I'm more inclined to think the writing is so bad the actors never had a chance.
