Lies of P is such an obscenely good game! It takes numerous mechanics and design choices which are unoriginal, and combines and perfects them to create an experience that feels fresh and feels like it could be the pinnacle of the genre.

I normally don't like runs where it's one skip or out of bounds after another, but i have much respect for the runners to perform these skips. I know it's often harder than a normal speedrun. But i still enjoyed it, especially with the great commentary.

Production has improved so much on these run videos, as well as the live runs themselves - great job by the GDQ team and runners! I’ve been looking forward to this one and it did not disappoint. I’m not a speed-runner myself, just an ogler, but I love the community and the cause. Terrific stuff!

Wow! I have never heard of this game before experiencing this speedrun and honestly only decided to watch the run because the top comment was from the runner being kind and thanking people. So I wanted to checkout this wholesome person and I am so happy because the commentary and run was legendary. The speed running community would grow exponentially if this was the standard. You can tell A LOT of preparation went into this. High quality entertainment.

@GreyWithCreamium11 ай бұрын
Yeah obviously fantastic run and props to the runner, but I don't like speedruns that are mostly out of bounds shenanigans like this one. It's not that fun to watch and it doesn't really show off the game. For me the most interesting part was how quickly he dealt with Laxasia. I love crazy fast boss fights in speedruns and this type of run doesn't feature enough of that.

How do you do that flip when you jump? Not the pogo jump. Just the regular jump. Is it a feature of the P-Organ attributes? (You do it when you jump off the roof AFTER doing the super pogo zip jump to get back in bounds the first time and to the top of a building.)

Lies of P is such a good game. When I first played it I thought it was very good, but maybe not quite on par with Fromsoft's games. But on reflection I think it's just as good, and I think some could make a case for it perfecting the souls formula. It pretty much takes all the best gameplay and design elements from the soulsborne and Sekiro games and mushes them into one glorious package. It's also a great game to do new game + runs, and try out new weapons. Can't wait to see what they will do next with this franchise.

Just from watching this vid. I have learned that most people's 1st souls like is either Elden Ring, Lies of P, and possibly either code vein, and or Lords of the Fallen. Kinda a damn shame no one's starting out like the rest of us og souls players. Being with either Demon souls, and or Dark souls.
@ottokarl54279 ай бұрын
I mean, the Demon Souls Remake is still PS5 only and Dark Souls 1 is also getting up there in age. Not particularly weird that people don't start with these two and instead go for the newest releases (especially with the hype Elden Ring generated) Personally I usually tell new people to start with Dark Souls Remastered before playing Elden Ring, but mostly because Elden Ring is so good and still manages to work in so many QoL features that DS1 feels like a pain to get through afterwards.
