I haven't played the game myself yet, but I kinda think the ending where P is laying in Sophia's arms is just him passing out from exhaustion. Everything he'd been doing, all the fighting with little rest, catches up to him once he finally becomes a real boy. Really not sure though, again, I haven't played it myself yet.

You can also do it by telling the truth in the game. As long as your humanity doesn’t go past a certain threshold, then it doesn’t matter if you keep her alive or not.

What is crucial is the portrait of a young Boy. I did not pick it up in chapter 5 and did mainly a lie playthrough and got the "Free from the puppet string" ending with maxed out humanity and giving Sophia Peace

For the endings: (spoiler alert*) 1st ending: They all lived happily You give Gepetto the heart with Carlos (his son) memories/ Ergo within. He revives his son who wasn't such a good boy after all and ends up killing the Hotel Krat inhabitants who Gepetto replaces with puppets. Obviously the Bad ending (cause Gepetto isn't a good person after all in this Interpretation of the story). 2nd ending Free from the puppet string: You kill the Nameless Puppet and Gepetto gets killed in the action to save Carlos heart. The main difference to the true ending is that he sees P as a "useless puppet" and you dont revive Sophia so you end up on the path to becoming a human puppet. 3rd ending: Rise of P: Mainly the same as 2nd with the difference that Gepetto Sees you as a human/ his son and apologizes for his actions. You freed Sophia earlier and took her Ergo which you put in a convienently placed puppet so you both become a human puppet. She disappears and is looking for her own way in her new life of freedom. The 2nd and 3rd ending also give you the post credit scene with the alchemist Paracelsus who disguised before to probably get Gold coin fruit for experiments. He mentions a Dorothy and you can see the Cover of "Wizard of Oz" underneath another sheet of paper. She also clicks her heels 3 times which is also a reference to wizard of Os. Probably a teaser for a new game or DLC, nevertheless im hyped for more Fairy Tale Soulslike horror.

I really appreciate your breakdown of the endings, I'm super excited for whatever they have in store for the post credit cutscene, my guess is it is going to be a DLC just cause you can still see billboards and signs with Krat in it (unless Krat is more than just a city) hoping for a Alice in Wonderland one I think that would be very good, we got the Alice: Madness Returns but it would be nice to see that as a souls-like with updated graphics and on a new engine

The only reason you kill the people in the hotel is because you are bound to obey Geppeto when you give up your heart (it also seems like your heart gets put into the nameless puppet which is a very murderous puppet by nature) Edit: doing all three endings I got the post credit cutscene and the letter from Gangio/Paracelsus on all endings

You actually only need 1 playthrough to get all 3 endings. I seen it on PSN trophies topics that you have to save after Laxia, make a Cloud save. When talking to Sophia on a Lie playthrough Spare Sophia and Refuse Gepetto, then Spare Sophia and Give heart to Geppetto. Then give peace (kill) sophia then save right before Gepetto refuse, reload and give heart. This is for endings and Letters in Gapettos desk (Bluebutterfly and Father letters) after each ending

I got 100% achievements in a week straight grinding this masterpiece, and man do i feel empty. This game gave me light, purpose, and a will for a short but blessed period of time. I will mever forget the amazing music, story, and improved combat from the soulslike genre, and its a shame this game isnt striking the top current 100s of 2023. Lies of P is my personal game of the yesr for its personal impact on me for how striking it was to me.

actually in the end you shove the essence you take out from her, right before "killing her", then P makes a doll and puts her essence inside it, he doesnt die, he just gets tired, you can get a letter from her (in doll form) after beating the game, in gepettos room, on his table

to 6:07 i can say: after getting cheesed by the game for like 26 hours, i decided to cheese it back. most of the boss encounters in the 2nd half i did not learning all the perfect guards, just getting windows to toss the op items and use a lot of the perfect parry helps (grind stone + shield)

that was actually a pretty tough fight for me, it was only until i saw this video that i realized that once the bigger brother is killed then the fight is over, i was taking too long to kill him and then the other 3 brothers would eventually jump down. eventually i decided to imbue my weapon with fire and actually started learning his patterns. its really interesting how difficulty is subjective, after seeing this video i would definitely spam throwables on my NG+ run

All the fights in the game are really hard. On my first try I had to use the spectrum in ALL the fights. (And of course I didn’t fight the Nameless Puppet) for my second and third run I just man up and didn’t use the spectrum, but raged A LOT

For the ending trophies, first turn off auto sync. Then just upload your save file to the cloud after the laxasia the complete fight. Also make sure you have enough humanity at this point. That way you can do each ending by picking different choices for sophia. Then just upload your save file to get each ending. The only time you really need a 2nd playthrough is for the records and eugenie story ending.

I’d say getting all achievements is more time consuming than hard, once you do ur first playthrough you should know roughly how to fight the bosses unless you cheesed them, so it’s more just remembering what ur forgetting and how to get them

hmm that is odd, when you decipher alidoro’s cryptic vessel, what i did was read it all the way through, tell her either the truth or the lie, reset the area at the stargazer and then talk to her again and i got 1 of the 2 records, rinsed and repeated the next playthrough telling the opposite of the past playthrough

The big change for the endings apparantly is telling Simon you liberated Sophia from Arch Abbey (and giving her peace but i chose that every time anyway) . When i chose to say i gave her peace I got the good ending instead of the true ending

i feel the experience is very very different from one person to the other. it depends on the weapons, they are not balanced at all and on whether or not you look at guides etc. to me all the souls games were way easier, because i used a weapon that made only a little bit of damage most of the time. however, there is an easy mode in the game. using throwables and some weapons make the game very easy for sure

@@xxdemestrosxx i used (written) guides only for all items, all quests, locations etc. I never watched videos for anything and I am comfortable with my build and weapons. High motivity build with the blue boss sword is good or high technique with the katana. Both are good but the final bosses are easier with the blue sword. As for amulets it depends to your playstyle. The normal amulets are better than the special ones for me.

@@sprc155 the specter messed up the brotherhood eldest for me. it constantly pulled aggro in the passive stages of the fight and died without dealing a lot of damage (before the 1.2 that is). so i feel what you experienced with it. for a lot of the later bosses i watched video guides, because the game stressed me out so much. but the answer to everything was always using the throw items when i couldn't stand it anymore :D
