Same !! My 100% clocked in at 218 hours !!! But i loved every second 😊 apart from the dreaded chicken sidequest that was straight bs lol . Chadleys sim also gave me some grey hairs but once mastered i’ve learned to have alot of fun with the challenge. Awesome and rewarding platinum I actually appreciate the difficulty i hate it when platinums are free .

Yep, I too questioned my gamer life after many failed attempts with Rulers of the Outer Worlds. But after clearing it and finally getting the Gotterdammerung, it was quite the relief.

I actually found Gongaga much more annoying to traverse compared to Cosmo Canyon, which surprised me. Cos when I saw the map of Gongaga, it looked pretty and didn't seem to have a lot of verticallity to it, whereas Cosmo Canyon had a ton of verticallity to it so it just felt like it would be annoying to traverse. But when it actually came to exploring, the Chocobo mushrooms in Gongaga just felt very annoying, because unless you were on the exact correct one, you would go to the wrong location, and have to go all the way back and look for the correct mushroom. And even if you find the correct mushroom, it could be on the edge of a cliff, but this Chocobo couldn't climb like the one from Junon, so you would have to find a way up to that cliff, so it just became tedious to me. Whereas with all the jump points in Cosmo Canyon, each one lead you to the other and it felt just very natural and exploration just flowed naturally for me, and I got the entire map done in like 2 hours ish. But it's just down to personal preference I guess haha. xD My favourite region is actually the Corel Region, cos of the desert area, Costa Del Sol and obviously the Gold Saucer :D In terms of the Legendary Bouts, they should have tuned that down a little. by the end, it didn't feel difficult for me, it felt tedious. Most of the time I died on either Bahamut or Odin (which I'm pretty sure are at power -1), so the previous 8 rounds were just time wasters. I feel like they could have either 1) Added a checkpoint for the current instance of the challenge at round 5/10, so that if the player dies at any point after that, they can restart at the beginning of round 6. But if they exit the instance to save the game or to change materia load out, they have to start from round 1/10 again. OR 2) make it 5 rounds total. Just remove the elite mini bosses and just keep the summons. i.e. Titan, Phoenix, Kujata, Alexander, and finally Bahamut or Odin. It would still be difficult, but less tedious. The bonds of friendship challenge was literally the hardest thing I've done in any video game, including Dark Souls, Elden ring and Bloodborne...like those games are hard, but even if you die, you get to retry that boss or enemy basically immediately...here, nah, you die to Odin, fight through 9 rounds again before facing him again. With hard mode final boss fight, I cheesed it by giving everyone the expeditionary medal, since everyone except cloud gets full limit breaks, so with that medal, they all start with full level 2 limit. xD Any way, amazing video! ^^

Gongaga was awful. I hope they learn from that for the next entry, cosmo canyon was bad but Gongaga was a lot worse

Yeah the mushrooms in Gongaga were pretty annoying now that I remember lol, I just like how vibrant everything was and the music in Gongaga. A checkpoint system would have been amazing for the legendary bouta but I feel like they wanted to make it as hard as possible for everyone which I can respect but wasting 10-15 minutes for a run just to wipe to Odin is less than 2 minutes did make me step away a few times, I also read that people think the rulers of the outer worlds challenge was harder which I just can’t believe that lol And thank you for the kind words, glad you enjoyed the video!

The gang went to Cosmo Canyon because Red XIII says at the beginning (in Kalm) that he'll join for as far as his hometown, after which he plans to leave them. It's the same in the OG. And the gang was interested in learning about planetology as well, so it made sense for them to go and drop Red XIII off. Hope that answers your question about why they went there!

I used a powerful wind build + genji gloves to easily get to odin in Bonds of Friendship and it still wasn't easy. Also the platinum took me 190 hours to get. Kudos to anyone who got it.

Yeah! what I did was for the speed only make it the 2nd level of speed, and then you only have to get an A rank not an S on the songs so that made it easier, and then it just came down to me memorizing the patterns and what parts were coming up next, I also played the piano in real life so idk if that helped me as well, but the biggest thing for me was just memorizing what parts were coming up and being ready for that, that’s about the only advice I can give, it still took me my fair share of tries.

For me rulers of outterworld took me longest time ,i spent good 10hours at it with the yuffie cheese build , every round was just pure rng ,did all other challenges in 1 or 2 tries.hard mode was walk in a park with genji glove , and swift cast+hp+,mp absorption materia,each hit did like 15-30k dmg . Definitely was one of most frustrating platinums in my collection clocking in at 119h49m playtime. At this point im convinced that chadley will be gigaboss in part 3 by the amount of research we did for him😅

Haha, if you've made it through the ps3/360 Ninja Gaiden missions, then you already know frustratingly challenging missions. Those really prepare you for anything this game has for you.

I love having fun with the challenges and doing stuff to get items and NPC reactions. But I wish there was a way to cheat some of these games to get all the rewards but no trophy. A gold chocobo could make racing obsolete. For the piano, Cloud could sit down, but Tifa could reach over and do the playing. The blind guy wouldn't know the difference lol. Any gym challenge could be made easy with a character drinking that Wall Market 'sauce' that we all know is some kind of drug lol

Its overall a great game but the endgame content is absolutely horrible. It is designed to waste your time, exhaust your patience, infuriate you and it is downright annoying and not rewarding at all. By the end of your quest to 100% this game you dont feel a sense of accomplishment and reward, you just feel relief that it is over and done with. And there is no better way to prove this than your reaction at 40:00 which totally reflects mine as well... "I am not even happy". Exactly, you are not happy, you are relieved. I dont know who was directly responsible for the decisions behind the design of the endgame content, but he shouldnt be allowed near such discussions ever again. It felt like the devs intent was not to make you enjoy the challenge but to troll you, as if their mission was to make you hate the game you loved just a few hours ago....The Sephiroth boxing match is the very epitome of the most horrible game design I have ever seen in games and should be presented as a prime example every time the term "horrible game design" is mentioned. They are clueless on how to create hard, challenging but at the same time FAIR endgame content that respects your time and your sanity.

I been stuck on Cloud And Zack for 2 weeks Im starting to get by bahamute no problem, and 1 run i almost killed odin, but he stopped zack then instakilled cloud then killed zack. Arg Its 15mins for almost a to get to Odin.

@@StunnaPlatinums i finally beat odin, relise when he splits up the battle field you dont want to be on same side as him, and there are a few seconds to move to the otherside of the wall before it becomes solid. Cause the side he lands on does AOE damage constantly. I mostly forcus on using primemode conter attacks with cloud and attack with Zack after i cast Lvl 3 wind. Also using Zacks abilitys to give him synergy instead of spells, and cast spells after using zack and clouds combo.

I pretty much quit this game. RNG amd other cheats make those last 2 VR fights and Ch 14 impossible without going in and debuffing everything. Problem is that won't happen when got players soloing and doing sub 5 minutes.
