I love all your things you put out. The best advice i've ever heard is from you. Don't have these expectations. I caught an eight pound channel cat. In the middle of our town. Everybody was like no way. That is a big fish in this area.

For me 15-30 minutes is good. Sittin time gets scarce some days. Got froze out fishing yesterday at 36 degrees. Coulda delt with the temps but the wind made it plain miserable.

I have a thing I call the reverse bobber .... the bobber is above the bait... a 2 oz egg sinker below the bait... with one swivel to hold the weight in place when casting.... the 2 oz weight will pull a bobber down to the bottom quickly.... then you just feed out line to raise bait to the desired level

I watch KZbin only. Prefer to be able to see the gear, experience or technique described. My video length preference is related to the content quality. I tend to shy away from rambling. I fish from an Old Town Sportsman 120 PDL kayak. Gear efficiency is critical. I enjoy your videos and watch on a regular basis. Thanks!

I enjoy all of your content. I only listen on youtube so for me a don't really care about the length that much I can start and stop as I have time, get bored, busy, whatever. With that said, 30min seems to be my "sweet spot" for watching/listening in a single session unless I am out on the water then I keep you or Dave going most of the time.

Micah Burkhart posted a video a couple days ago talking about the new reels from Mad Katz. They have been testing them and they look nice. All metal gears and the colors are chosen to match the rods. Built like the Abu 6500s.

Rumors? Tons of posts about the MadKatz reels in past week. 11 different colorways. They look great but yeah visually very similar to others already out there. Hopefully upgraded internals, drags, etc. I don't know specifics, and you mentioned Lews, they sure look similar to the Laser LXLC60.

Someday ill get a hellcat rod but for now, i love my mad katz rod med heavy and heavy, i live the way they look and feel... but just cant seem to find a good left hand reel that i like to pair with it. So i paired it with a penn squall 2 levelwind (SQLII20LWLH) and i love the set up now!!!

The best reel I've used lately is the Catfish Sumo reel. Not sure what base brand it may be, but smooth and best caster I have. Also thanks to you I just landed my first 30lb hog this last weekend.

My issue is racking up so many rods and reels. Being a bank fisher good bait caster reels are toughbto find without breaking bank, the so called budget round faced reels have just not been worth it from ones ive picked up.

The only catfish combo I remembered from my youth was the Zebco Bill Dance Spincast catfish outfit. 606 sized reel with clicker on it and 7ft med hvy rod. It was the best thing out there during that time. I think the catfish market has gotten too silly for my tastes.

Mad katz is coming out with a reel mika tested and gave them pointers they are going to have a 3 year warranty I was told I'll keep the ancient mariners with lifetime warranty

I n 2023 i listend to 17 days and 9 hours of podcast material. 417hours total. 320 episodes all together. I listen while im driving, hunting, out fishing, and especially at work. So i prefer my podcast to be at least an hour long. But that's just me. Im constantly looking for new stuff to listen to

I hope CTF doesnt get into the reel market. My reasoning is this: Youre gonna have to pay good money to have capable staff on-hand to deal with issues. Most rods and reels are made in China...which means a lot of them will be crap. Thats how most companies in America male money...they source it cheap and "modify" it when it gets here. Ya gotta pay someone to deal with the issues when they arise. Not many folks want to do that work for minimum wage. I hope CTF sticks with rods. I really do. Its only a matter of time before "pro" catters get sick of re-branded junk reels with catchy colors that fail and have zero customer service other than sending another of that same junk reel to replace it.

amazing, you can still get some parts for 70 year old Penn reels, but you can't get parts for a 2 year old reel
