What does SF mean?

not sure. i think its squad fodder since if we the players are VS (visionate squad) then maybe SF is squad fodder. just cause they aren't player controlled and one can only be played in the campaign missions. and they also spawn mid waves so they must have some other purpose than the VS (visionate squad) as we seen in the second campaign mission's dialog between sniper and slicer for when sniper says he loves his machete, slicer reminds him of his days in SF. and when we equip the barracks upgrading it to level 3/4 we see the SF sniper does NOT have a machete despite it being a level 2 sniper so that may explain that SF could be a cannon fodder squad or a cadet squad. maybe VS (visionate squads) could be SF that has earned some respect from the general. or are an elite squad with experienced training put into a special group, hence maybe that explains why we get sent into missions like grassland, grid city, etc but it also might make sense that the SF we see inside the campaign missions could be an elite in training. hence why does he have three different tools? he has the scout's pistol, commander's bandage, and the demolitionist's grenade. it could be that once a SF is experienced enough to join a VS (visionate squad). the high ranks like the general would equip them with a variety of tools first before seeing what they're more good at then choosing them as their class. but you may ask, if it would be like that then explain the barracks and lieutenant spawning? well when we look at their names, maybe they have been experienced enough to stay on that class. would then later into the future become part of the VS (visionate squad) and to explain the LT's spawn, they are far more better than the SF. hence making them a better SF unit than the SF itself. maybe LT is a seperate division? like if a SF unit is part of LT then it is also part of the VS (visionate squad). would make it a seperate division like bodyguards for the LT. *but then again i could be wrong*
