Not the comedy you would expect from these two greats together in one movie. This movie was witty, funny and unexpectedly deeper and more meaningful than you would think!
My words evaded me for the most as the turn it took, made my emotions fly of the rails!

Fun fact, biscuit scene was improv. They were only gonna show a glimpse of biscuit running and getting shot. No back story or anything, so he said absolutely not and Eddie ran with it!

I still remember seeing this movie when it first came out in theater. This movie I can watch anytime and it never gets old, so many great comedians in this movie and great storytelling as well

To your point about segregation, segregation and Jim Crow laws in the south during that time was extremely dangerous for black people, countless lynchings and killings it’s amazing honestly how our people survived 400 years of slavery and then the Jim Crow South to where we are now, a lot of be proud about. Either way “Life” is one of my favorite movies of all time!

It was a great touch to use Booker White's "parchman farm blues", even though it's a modern version (added drums) because the prison they got sent to is parchman (AKA the Mississippi state penitentiary), and Booker white spent some time there in the early 40s. If you read up on them, a lot of the old prewar bluesmen were criminals at one point or another.

The baby scene implied they'd all slept with the superintendents daughter 😆 And it hurt me a bit when even Hoppin Bob didn't want to shoot Biscuit.

Thank you! I saw Total Recall probably as a child sometime but I cannot remember anything, besides that Jamie Lee Curtis I think acts in it with Arnold? I do like Arnold Schwarzenegger movies and will be happy to react to Total Recall for you. @@unwindreactions6223 also in that movie life, Ray was a con artist himself in when he played cards he got a taste of his own medicine. Also he and Clay got cheated by that corrupted Sheriff and frame them for murder. So Ray now knows how it feels to get cheated.
