You can apply to another specialty if you meet the eligibility, but this would usually mean taking a large pay cut and starting at ST1 / CT1. There are a few specialties like rehabilitation medicine and sports medicine where you can apply for ST3 after GP training. I recommend you search for whichever specialty you are interested in and read the person specification for details of eligibility.
