Two problems so far and im only half way through. You're teaching soul sleep? What about the thief on the cross... Jesus said to him, "Today, you'll be with me in paradise." And also you say the rewards in the millennium are based on how we handled the Torah...it should be on how our relationship was with Jesus. Not the Torah.

@@rotaryenginepete "And after these things I HEARD (not seemed to hear - but HEARD) a great voice of much people in heaven..." I'm not sure if you're the one that added the word "seemed" to the text, or if you're just using a bad translation (there are many to choose from). Either way, the word "seemed" is NOT found in the KJV, or Young's Literal Translation (just to name a couple). The earliest record of ANY translation adding the words "what seemed to be" to the text is found in the "Twentieth Century New Testament" by Ernest Malan and Mary Higgs, published in 1904. I think I'd rather trust the translations that rely on the 1516 Textus Receptus... which doesn't add the Greek word "hos" (literally means "as" not "what seemed to be") to the text. Then who are "them that dwell in heaven" that are being "blasphemed" in Revelation 13:6? I actually won't be dogmatic on this verse because it could be logically argued that the "people in heaven" mentioned here is a reference to the temple complex & the priesthood before it was destroyed in A.D. 70 by Rome. So, I'll give you this one. Yes, Revelation 11:12, in context, is about the 2 prophets. However, if you take into account Jesus' Parable Of The Hired Laborers in Matthew 20:1-16, then you'll see that everyone gets the same reward. That reward is eternal life in the heavens with our Father. Exalted above all creation in Christ. Revelation 5:3 indeed does say that there are "men in heaven": "And no MAN IN HEAVEN, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book..." If men don't go to heaven, then who are the men in heaven that were unable to open the book in this passage? 1 Peter 1:4... EXACTLY! OUR INHERITANCE IS IN HEAVEN. What is our inheritance? Eternal life with the Creator (Mark 10:17). Where is that inheritance? IN HEAVEN WITH GOD according to Scripture. Hebrews 10:34... "our substance is in heaven". Again, what is "our substance". The Greek word used here is G5223 "hyparxis". It literally means wealth/possessions. So again, our wealth/inheritance is eternal life, and that exists in heaven with God. Col 1:5... Again, what is our "hope". It is eternal life with our Creator. So where does that hope exist? In heaven with God. Phil 3:20... Exactly! Our "conversation is in heaven because that is were our inheritance (i.e. eternal life) is located. I'm not sure why this is so hard for some people to accept.

Great job as usual! The computer metaphor can be taken even further (it is no accident that computers were designed after ourselves bc it is natural and logical). Data is 0s and 1s, random and meaningless. Once data is organized, it becomes information, and proves the existence of our Creator. Information, on a highly complex level, is not only character traits like emotions, but also mass or physical existence. This is how we may understand Yeshua as the “firstborn of creation.” This metaphor, as helpful as it is, only scratches the surface of our (as created beings) attempt to comprehend our Creator.

The word “soul” in the Bible is a translation of the Hebrew word neʹphesh and the Greek word psy·kheʹ. The Hebrew word literally means “a creature that breathes,” and the Greek word means “a living being.” * The soul, then, is the entire creature, not something inside that survives the death of the body. Consider how the Bible shows that the human soul is the whole person:
@thenowchurch64195 жыл бұрын
Walter. With all due respect, please consider this perspective. The soul and the body are separate things. They are both bodies in a sense, but the physical body is the gross material version of the the spiritual or astral body. The real or spiritual body is subtle and lives on in a subtle realm. Your physical body can be totally destroyed and yet at your spiritual resurrection you will have a perfectly functional body, in the spiritual world. It is an energy field shaped and maintained by Divine Intelligence.

The doctrine of conditional immortality is plainly contradicted by Scripture where it teaches: (1) that sinners as well as saints will continue to exist forever, Eccl. 12:7; Matt. 25:46; Rom. 2:8-10; Rev. 14:11; 20:10; (2) that the wicked will suffer eternal punishment, which means that they will be forever conscious of a pain which they will recognize as their just desert, and therefore will not be annihilated, cf. the passages just mentioned; and (3) that there will be degrees in the punishment of the wicked, while extinction of being or consciousness admits of no degrees, but constitutes a punishment that is alike for all, Luke 12:47,48; Rom. 2:12.

The question has been raised, whether the soul after death remains actively conscious and is capable of rational and religious action. This has sometimes been denied on the general ground that the soul in its conscious activity is dependent on the brain, and therefore cannot continue to function when the brain is destroyed. But, as already pointed out in the preceding (pp. 677 f.), the cogency of this argument may well be doubted. “It is,” to use the words of Dahle, “based on the error of confusing the worker with his machine.” From the fact that the human consciousness in the present life transmits its effects through the brain, it does not necessarily follow that it can work in no other way. In arguing for the conscious existence of the soul after death, we place no reliance on the phenomena of present day spiritualism, and do not even depend on philosophical arguments, though these are not without force. We seek our evidence in the Word of God, and particularly in the New Testament. The rich man and Lazarus converse together, Luke 16:19-31. Paul speaks of the disembodied state as a “being at home with the Lord,” and as something to be desired above the present life, II Cor. 5:6-9; Phil. 1:23. Surely, he would hardly speak after that fashion about an unconscious existence, which is a virtual non-existence. In Heb. 12:23 believers are said to have come to... “the spirits of just men made perfect,” which certainly implies their conscious existence. Moreover, the spirits under the altar are crying out for vengeance on the persecutors of the Church, Rev. 6:9, and the souls of the martyrs are said to reign with Christ, Rev. 20:4.

I have been thinking about this subject for a few months, so far so good. I ave come to realize that I am a "living soul" and spirit, which to me, is bordering on another subject, about when Christ became begotten of the Father, and ether He is "god in flesh", or the Son of God. This is very important, as I do not see any evidence of God being 3 in one. and I understand the phrase "son of man" as being a human being (A very special human being, as a man was not His Father, but God Himself), and the phrase " Son of God" which He is. I think for sure as I study along with the rest of the series, I'll definitely have more to say, and to think abut! I'm glad I found (OR was led) this teaching.

That is NO WHERE in the Bible. He just read Gen to you. The Nephesh is the physical body plus the animating or life giving breath or spirit of God and then defines it as a living being. That's all a soul is, a living being. We ARE a soul(Living being), we don't have one. 119, this is an excellent and truthful rendering of the scriptures which challenges men's traditions. Well done. One thing I would ask you to consider is the judgment of the unsaved dead. Interestingly the book of life is opened here a second time. I believe that the billions of unsaved humanity will have a chance to hear the truth and repent. As the household of God is now under judgment, so also the remainder of humanity will hear His voice and will enter a period of judgment. In this context please consider Jesus" reference to the men of nineveh rising with his generation and condemning it. All generations across the ages will be together and will be judged. For God simply to judge on physical deeds without people accepting Christ does not fit with the gospel. Each person will have to make an informed choice. And what about the millions of children who have died without knowing Him? It would be inconsistent with His character to do anything less. Please consider this issue in more depth as we all have had unsaved loved ones who died without knowing Him. For us to exist for eternity knowing that family members never got a real chance would not be a pleasant existence. Blessings.

In contrast with the traditional doctrine of the immortality of the soul inherited and accepted by the majority of Christianity, it was taken and validated as truth by believers making no effort to find out with the scriptures if is the real truth. There is a big different when and honest student of the bible wants to prove all things and break away from tradition , only to find out how difficult is to accept that was all wrong . It didnt take that long before I realized that early in my youth something was wrong and the answer was in the word off God and not the traditions of men. I was about 20 when I arrived at the same conclusions 119 ministries presented in this video. Iam almost 70 years old and I was never part of a traditional church because the scriptures were telling me exactly what this video explained about the nature of man and if this subject is not in harmony with the word of God from cover to cover , you get exactly what we have today , different versions of a distorted half truth. Many people are coming out of this error and I thank you for presenting this information with the honesty that 119 ministries represents. Shalom.

This is the second death, the lake of fire. Rev 20:15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

We have three components -- the body, soul, spirit. We are responsible for our choices of good and evil because we have the soul. If we just have the spirit other than the body, we would not be responsible for our choices, and good and evil would be just illusions. There are 2 kinds of heaven and hell according to the Bible. One kind is what we face after death. Luke 16:19-31 and Luke 23:43. The other kind is what we face after the final Judgment. Revelation 21:1 and 19:20 and 21:8, for a few instances. So the first heaven and the first hell are like waiting places until the final Judgment Day.

Trying to kill me. I called out and three Angels in glowing white came and all but one demon fled. Something or words was exchanged, heated.. then he left. I'm telling you all. It is real. This was a short version of my testimony. Next event happened twenty two years later.

Could you expound on a few verses? Matthew 16:28 Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.” Matthew 23:36 Truly I tell you, all these things will come upon this generation. Matthew 24:34 Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened. Mark 9:1 Then Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God arrive with power." Luke 9:27 But I tell you truthfully, some who are standing here will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God." Is it possible that 70AD was Armageddon and the 1,000 reign of Christ is past and satan was loosed after the 1,000 years to deceive the nations and gather Gog and Magog? Sure seems like satan is loosed today.

I'm not convinced of soul sleep but still consider it possible but because we do think, dream, decide and even pray, while sleeping, I think it may also be possible within Heaven and the presence of God, that our spirits are still active for God is alive and those who are "absent from the body are present with Him. However, if there is soul sleep Kudos to JW's for being the 1st major existing group of suggesting it. Thanks again.

Hmm. I'll need to test this a bit. I'm not sure I can assign emotions and temperament to the breath as much as I can the words of the Torah having been spoken to Adam's face ("nostrils") to animate them (Him and the Mrs. :) ) Yahshua, as the Word, was the life and that life is the light of men. I tend to agree with the rabbis that say that we were beings of light at the first--the image of a Creator who is light. They've shown that when conception takes place, there's a burst of light, and that cells communicate through photons. And while seemingly easy and applicable, I don't buy the simile of the computer to a person. I actually find that rather Greek. I rather use grandma's apple pie. Anyone can obviously make a pie--just get some apples and make a crust, but someone who loves you adds a spirit of love that makes them unrepeatable by anyone else and it's the best pie ever. Other people use her recipe, but something's missing. It's never "the same." Author Natalie Goldberg talks about a muffin shop she and some friends had in college. She reports observing that when she cared about the muffins she was making, they sold out. When she was stressed with school or relationships, nobody bought the muffins. This speaks to the spiritual life we all have. Surely attitudes and temperament influence things, but are not the things--the spirit.

the concept of light-beings is of Jewish kabbalistic/hermetic/metaphysics. There is nothing in scripture to imply such a thing. God took the clay/elements of the earth and breathed His Spirit into it to animate us. The synthesis of clay/matter, and Gods Spirit becomes a conscious soul.

The Book of Luke Chapter 16 19. There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20. And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21. And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23. And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: 28. For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. {KJV} Brothers, great teaching. I must however ask. The Scripture above taught us by Yeshua clearly gives insight into what happens to all souls until the day of the Judgement for believers by Yeshua.

if this is a parable, then does it still give insight to what happens or should we focus on the entire point of the story in verse 31?
@rotaryenginepete5 жыл бұрын
If you insist this parable is a real story, then you should also be able to answer the following questions: 1. Why is the beggar named Lazarus? 2. Is being rich or receiving good things in this life a sin? 3. If we are poor or receive bad things in this life, does that make us good? 4. What is Abraham’s side/bosom? Is it Paradise or Heaven? 5. Can dipping a finger in water really cool someone's tongue as they are tormented by a flame? 6. Why does the rich man have 5 brothers? 7. Can people who are in Sheol/Hell/Hades really talk over to people in Abraham's Bosom/Paradise/Heaven?

I would like to point out that when trees plants were made there are made with the same power that made animals and man and carry life force or spirit and how can we know this because it can die. Nothing living by gods power is alive without spirit otherwise it would be like calling plants non living things and not only do they live they can sing speak to us and god gave them to us how we treat all living things shows our character. I would like to point out that adam was instructed to care for the garden take care of it and eat of its fruit. This is before adam sinned and if we were not to care for the living plantlife we in term would die this is absolute truth and not written in the torah

I think if I understand correctly you believe that some people who are not in the faith are going to be resurrected in the first resurrection. And they're going to be given an opportunity. That may be true and I'm not necessarily disputing that, but I also think that that could be possible in the second Resurrection. You may be addressing this in a later installment, but I tend to think that the Judgment upon those who are resurrected in the second Resurrection is not immediate. It says that Satan is released to deceive the Nations. And I tend to think that's not going to be an overnight process of marshalling all these people together to come upon the holy city and the camp of the Saints. it seems to me almost as if the Saints can go outside of the city if they choose but those who are not saved cannot come within the gates of the city oh, and it makes me wonder what the purpose of that would be. I think possibly to witness to those who are unsaved. I don't know.

@@119Ministries this was an excellent teaching. And to me it seems to confirm my belief about the New Covenant. And that is that the New Covenant really is not fulfilled until after the resurrection. Part of the New Covenant is that it will be written on our hearts that we will basically have a new heart and in Ezekiel 36 when it says I will give you a new heart take out the Heart of Stone and put in a heart of Flesh and I will put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes and keep my judgements and do them oh, that all sounds like New Covenant language to me. I enjoy this ministry. But, this teaching steps away from their normal excellence. For example, because you cannot see a thing, does not mean it cannot be seen. Just like because you cannot hear a thing doesn't mean it cannot b heard. We know that dogs don't see like we do nor do they hear as we do. But, the problem is that we don't know what Vision was like before Adam fell. We simply have no frame of reference. Our eyes actually don't see. Scientifically, our brain does. Our eyes just gathering information. Our brain interprets that information according to what it expects to see. The story of Gideon helps us understand sight a bit better. But that's trivial to the real issue i have here. you just cannot study who you are or what you will be without first understanding what you were created to be. God created Mankind in His image and his likeness. You simply cannot Overlook that when you're talking about this particular subject. And you are not a computer. You're nothing like a computer. If you take the CPU out of a computer it's functions just as it's supposed to. You may have to power the thing up but if it's solar powered it will be just fine. A computer is not the sum of its parts. What makes the computer work is the programmer who programmed the computer and subsequently the user who uses it. You're nothing like a computer. And breath and wind are not the same they're as different as sound and Light. And they're the same like sound and Light. But there's a long way to go in this teaching. Hopefully, it gets more to scripture.

Which they did .. die within 1,000 years... . . AT THE FINAL TRUMPET when: 1 Corinthians 15 (KJV) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ⁵¹ Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, ⁵² In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. ⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. ⁵⁴ So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. you're saying some will survive who never made a CHOICE who to worship?
@tdrtdr22 жыл бұрын
THESE TWO PASSAGES ALSO DESCRIBES THE LAST TRUMPET: Matthew 24 (KJV) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ²⁹ Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: ³⁰ And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. ³¹ And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. ##### “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” - Revelation 11:15 (KJV) . . I guess I always thought at that moment the sword of Yeshua's Word goes 4th in an instant and kills the Antichrist and all his minions then we all go forward from there. I just got out of the hospital with liver cancer and i got cut from my chest down to my belly button lol . . one more thought I also was under the assumption that seventh trumpet brought in all prophecy and ended sin as spoken of in Daniel. After talking with myself about it ... 😂... when I get a chance to flesh this out I think we will find those people who ARE NOT SEALED AT THE FINAL TRUMPET will die to be resurrected at the White Throne Judgment. When they get there it can go one of two ways for them: 1. They had the mark of the beast and are being rewarded for their choice. 2. They never took the mark but they did not get sealed either so God looks at their works and this is where The Mercy seat comes in. The Law was kept INSIDE the Ark for a reason. When you put the mercy seat on TOP of it THEN MERCY TRUMPS THE LAW. AND with Yah's presence is sitting in Judgment then it doesn't matter what is recorded against that person because if they did it out of TRUE LOVE for Yah then He will know it and possibly extend MERCY. (Not Crusaders or those who use religion to gain power, but those who truly were ignorant and good things out of love) B. This person comes before Yah in INTELLIGENT REBELLION meaning they know the truth, but it was inconvenient for them to go against their denomination or for whatever reason and they didn't do it out of love they did it out of selfishness, power, etc Those people will be told depart from me I never knew you; you lawless one.
