Thank you for this video. Everyone told me I’d be back to normal in 1-2 weeks but it’s not been the case at all. I’m glad you mentioned holding your tummy whilst walking, that’s what I’ve been doing. Also they should warn you not to have a bed that’s too low, for first few nights after discharge I was put up by relative on a folded down sofa bed which was agonising to get down to and up from. On 9th day post op and still in pain and have a lot of burping after eating and nausea first thing, hoping things are going to improve. I’m glad you mentioned you are going to take it easy and gradual over 3 months and I think that’s sensible. Best wishes.

Thank you for making this video. I have just removed my gallstone last week and now on the second week of my recovery. I have most experience similar to you. But one thing different is that I can stand straight and walk normally after a week of the surgery but need to walk slower since I normally walk fast. My diet went fine after a week, I avoid spicy, hard and oily food at all for now for a smooth recovery.

My surgery was a breeze compared to my total knee replacement & the horrible pain of gallbladder attacks. And, pain killers can cause constipation too. I learned this with the knee replacement.

Thank you so much for sharing your surgery experience! ❤ It has made me so much less anxious for my surgery this week. Would be so grateful if you could answer some doubts: Do you feel any pain or sensation in the stitches area now? Are you able to eat fatty and spicy food without gas and vomiting issues? Do the pain episodes go completely after the surgery?
@MillennialGirlfriendАй бұрын
No pain on the stitches now, but im over a year post op 😅 Yep, completely no pain after the surgery. But every time I eat fatty food, I went straight to the toilet (I think instead of the pain)
@brianne571Ай бұрын
I eat what ever I want not one issue at all. I got scared and put it off. Ended up in the hospital for 4 days! My fault. I feel like I have a brand new gallbladder not one issue. Surgery was 2022. So please don't be scared!

@@sandrachristina1815 My stomach is still sensitive until now, 9months post surgery. It gets better overtime. I find that it's usually when I eat fatty food. Instead of gallstone pain, I just go to the toilet. My mom is still experiencing the same thing whenever she eats fatty food, even over 7yrs post surgery.

So I've watched what seems like a thousand videos about gallbladder surgery and everyone's talking about this gas pain. Nobody is saying how to get rid of it. Do you fart and belch a lot?

For me, walking a little bit when you are able to helped with the gas. Yes you just fart it out 🤣

Did you feel something 'jiggly' by your belly button after the surgery? As if theres a small sack of water just there, inside your belly button? I feel it just by placing my hand on my belly button area, never felt it before surgery

Hi I had a question? Did u have constant constipation before ur surgery? I have to go to restroom 2 or three times when I eat. I have surgery on February 5th. Also did u get pain left and right or the middle when u had gallbladder stone.? I'm scared
@MillennialGirlfriend Жыл бұрын
Hello! I didnt have constipation BEFORE the surgery, but I had it AFTER. My pain was in the middle, above my stomach when I had gallstones 🥲 Dont be scared. Just get them taken out. I'd rather have the need to go to the bathroom after the surgery, than the excruiciating pain 🥲 I still have sensitive stomach on fatty and dairy foods 4 months post surgery but it's less compared at the start. All the best!
