Had mine removed 35 years ago as lots of gall stones and the pain was unbearable. After surgery it was ok off you go. No post surgery care, like they've done their job now just go away. Out of the 12 symptoms I have had 9. Particularly the thyroid. 20 years ago I developed thyroid cancer and had it removed. Again just take these pills and no advice on what to do next. Gained a heap of weight that wouldn't shift no matter how much dieting and exercise I did. It just kept piling on and I was exhausted also coping with a full time job and young family. Found these videos and am binge watching them. I started keto 4 days ago, have bought recommended vits and minerals and see where it takes me. I also have epilepsy again controlled to a certain point with medication, then I see a keto diet is good for that.

I don't have a gallbladder more than ten year. Some time I have gas but it depends what I eat but drinking Kafir yogurt and that helps me.i enjoy eating meat no problem

I had emergency gallbladder removal surgery in 2009. I was told by DOCTORS no special diet would be required and life would be the same without a gallbladder. Biggest lie ever told. Forty years post op here. After trying everything, I discovered, eat plenty of fiber. Also, small, more frequent meals. I still have the diarrhea and a need to be close to the bathroom if I abuse myself. Such as, getting too hungry or drinking copious amounts of coffee.

I know everyone's situation is unique and prior to having my GB removed I was in constant pain and in the ER several times with no relief, so a weighted decision was made with multiple healthcare providers and I had to have mine removed. Now also I must mention that I had to have an emergency surgery for mine while out of town due to the severe pain and illness it brought on, which is something I would never want to repeat.

I had my gallbladder removed when I was 27 years old and only 92 lbs. It was the worst, most painful surgery I have ever had. I am 60 now and I’ve NEVER fully recovered. I have so much pain in my right side, my shoulder, my ribs- I have never been the same. My surgeon did my surgery the “old fashioned” way where you are cut almost all the way around. I asked several times about lazer surgery or laparoscopic surgery but he said there was no such thing for the gallbladder. I was in the hospital a week with complications and when I finally got released, I came home and watched 20/20 about how doctors are doing laparoscopic gallbladder surgeries where the patient can have the surgery one day and be back at work the next day. Damn him. He KNEW it was being done at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem NC (I live 30 minutes from there) and they were doing it at Emory in Atlanta with excellent results. He was a young, egotistical and greedy spoiled child-like person who happened to have gone to medical school and passed his boards. I loathe him. He literally ripped me apart, inside out and did not have a conscience about what he did to me or any of his other patients. He is PATHETIC. There are a few good doctors out there and I appreciate everything they do. The thing I appreciate the most is HONESTY and clearly this doctor wasn’t even aware of what the word meant. I suppose he’s retired by now and maybe he eventually became a decent person. But if anyone reading this needs any kind of surgery, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Research your surgeon. Research your condition. It may turn out that there is another way to treat your problem without having surgery at all.

I have been to several gastroenterologists over many many years and I knew there was something wrong with me because I could not digest food well and constantly had swollen belly, for 20 years. The doctors never found anything. They were talking about stress and psychological problems 🤦🏻‍♀️. Finally I started to experience discomfort in my upper right belly and only then a doctor told me to get the ultrasound. Comes out that it was not “stress” and “psychological problems” but a 3.5cm giant stone that occupied almost the whole gallbladder 🤦🏻‍♀️. If instead of listening all of the nonsense stuff about stress a doctor would have prescribed me a simple ultrasound, I might have been able to keep my gallbladder. You have to be the doctor of yourself. Don’t trust anyone, research and do your own due diligence. Thank god nowadays we have access to all of the necessary information.

I am 63...had mine out in 1990 with laperscopic surgery. Went home the next day. I was given a choice between that or the traditional way. I chose laperscopic because I had a baby and couldn't be bedridden. I'm so sorry you experienced that.

OMG!!!!!--TY!!! I had gall stones --thus bladder removal at a YOUNG age--19.. Now i'm 62 & have had "tightness" in my right side for OVER 20 yrs & haven't been able to get a doctor to listen to me about it. It is sometimes more than a mere "tightness." Have your doctors considered Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction? This condition usually happens after the gall bladder is removed. I have this and get painful attacks very similar to gall bladder pain.

It's been 27 years since my gall bladder was removed and I sometimes have a sharp pain on my upper right side and have to be carefull about some fats because I get diarrhea after eating certain things. It's better than getting gall bladder attacks.

@@pegs1659 ok, thanks. I wondered because my mom had hers removed in her early 50's (about 35 years ago) and then developed high cholesterol later for which she had to be put on medication. Since the gall bladder deals with fat processing I've always wondered if one thing led to the other. She eats a little dairy and moderate amounts of meat, a lot of fish and vegetables, primarily a Mediterranean diet because she is from that region and only moved to the US at the age of 40. So her diet was basically good but her cholesterol levels were quite high. Of course they never counseled her about diet and lifestyle changes, just put her on meds. Now she's on 9 different medications for cholesterol, BP, etc.

They come on gradually but over time the symptoms become harder to ignore. I hope your doctor is a good one and explained everything to you. Hello Dr Berg and everyone reading this. My 83 year old sweet mother will be having her gallbladder removed tomorrow. It was a difficult decision to make being naturalists but we found it necessary. She has been in extreme pain the past several days and she cant eat at all. Vomiting green bile. I really appreciate this video and im going to go do some more research to see what we can do to make her more comfortable and to make the rest of her life as healthy as possible. I appreciate you mentioning the bile salts. I just happen to have some on hand and will keep that info in mind. There's a condition called bile salt malabsorption that happens to many of us without a gallbladder (can occur on it's own and with other conditions too), the liver doesn't take up as much bile as it should. Often misdiagnosed as IBS. You can be prescribed bile binders. Green banana flour and psyllium husk powder can help.

I got lucky. I was have bad gallbladder attacks that were very very painful. But I noticed I would get them after I ate a bunch of greasy fried food. Cut that crap out of my diet and haven't had one for 3 years. Unfortunately my friend was suffering the same thing right as I was but hers never stopped. She ended up having hers removed and she has been having issues ever since.

I had my gallbladder removed due to attacks at any given time of the day, especially when I was working at age 20. The doctor removed a bunch of stones that were blocking the duct (cut me from one side to the other and sent me home after a 6-day hospital stay, telling me that I was doing very well) and now I’m 64. I’ve had a multitude of issues since and imagined at the time a lot of them were due to my gallbladder removal. Back then, they also automatically called it protocol to take your spleen along with it and appendix. I wonder now how those two organs missing, as well, would be affected. I have had a LOT of the issues with a missing gallbladder that Dr. Berg speaks of on this youtube channel.

I had mine out almost three years ago. I do not regret it. I had stones, plus tachycardia, nausea, lack of appetite, weight loss, the list goes on even when I ate a low fat diet. My gall bladder wasn't working properly, if at all and I had stones. When it was removed it was red and there were adhesions. I'll take the diarrhea I get occasionally (mainly morning, never in the evening) from too much bile any day. I feel 1000 times better than I did with my bad gallbladder. I just know within an hour of eating breakfast or lunch that it's a possibility. After dinner, never. It's easy to say don't remove it, but it does need to be done. People die from ruptured gall bladders and infections as well as blockages.

30 years ago I had stones, severe pain, vomiting, sick, couldn’t eat. I did a raw apple juice fast for six days, at night drinking a half cup of olive oil, half cup lemon juice and laying on my right side. The Second day I started doing colonics, one in the morning and one at night. I started passing stones as big as my thumb for 3 or 4 days. The bulge under my right ribs went away and I eased back onto greens and food. Haven’t had an issue since and I’m 61 now. I have my own colonic machine. Haven’t used it much since.

I just like to thank you for doing this about the remover of the gall bladder. I had my gall bladder removed yrs ago because only 10% of my gall bladder working aong with stones. There are definitely cases like yours, who absolutely NEED to have their gallbladder removed (my best friend was one such case). BUT, I think there are a lot of cases which could be effectively/successfully treated without removing it. In my case, I didn't have gallSTONES, but "just some sand"... I was having severe heartburn/indigestion, but no painful gallbladder attacks. I asked my doctor about something I had recently read, saying there was a new treatment (this was back in 1996) where - in "not-serious" cases - they could "blast" the stones out w a laser. My doctor just said "No, I don't do that." (He was what I would call "old school" and about to retire.) Being young/easily-influenced back then, I just said ok and went ahead with the surgery... and I've regretted it ever since. Moral of the story: If in doubt, ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION.

So I had both removed at the same time. I did not have the reluctance due to surgery expense. I suffer from diarrhea daily so this is timely. If I try the bile salts I will have results for my doctor in July. That is a better answer than I had, I do not look forward to a colonoscopy. Had one last year. My other possibility was colon cancer.

Instead of doing a liver flush (which I have done) to naturally remove gallstones, they will listen to their doctor when they are told to have it removed. If there is cancer in that area then yes it has to be removed... although for myself I would still go for prayer at "The Healing Rooms" FIRST and also to people who stand on the truth of the Bible who believe God heals. Chrisbeatcancer is a great YT channel who talks about how he got well again after a cancer diagnosis. Ty Bollinger has written a great book and done a docu-series also. Never give up your power. Excess bile here, chronic diahrrea, especially if I haven't eaten recently (like overnight). Vitamin B deficiency for 30 years as a result, leading to nerve system damage and mobility problems. When I went to the doctor, I told her it was because I'd had my gall-bladder had been removed, she diagnosed IBS so I didn't get any help for years - eventually asked for a referral to a consultant - and finally got a diagnosis.

It’s as if there is a scar or toughening of the tissue....use a few droppers full of castor oil in water, just two or three drops, won’t even taste it. Also, I’d bet MSM would work instead of bile salts.

Me too. I didn't have a choice about getting the gall bladder removed. I ended up with a severe infection and a drain. The intense antibiotics made problems later. I now can't take an antibiotic without nausea. I am always slightly nauseated and a lot of food also makes me slightly nauseated. I tried taking bile salts but again, they made me very nauseated. I'm always bloated and have gained a lot of weight even though I don't eat much.

"Test before you ingest." If you want to know if your bile salts are abnormal, have a bile acid test done. You can either spend $35 for a 1-time test, or spend $15/bottle on a supplement you take for the rest of your life that you may not need. That's what I did. I had my gallbladder removed 11 years ago. Tested my bile acid level last year and it's normal.

Fact is that most people have no choice about having their gall bladder removed especially if they have “gravel” in the gall bladder or a large stone that blocks the gall bladder. I had late night attacks a couple times a week for up to 10 hours straight where I would writhe all over the living room trying to find relief from the excrutiating chest pain. Doctors tested me for everything except the root cause which I diagnosed 7 years later. Upon removal the surgeon found it was almost deteriorated where if fell apart in pieces. Aside from some acid reflux I really have no issues without the gall bladder. A water and baking soda mix takes care of that issue quickly. I wouldn't wish those attacks on anyone!

The worst pain ive ever had in my life..even after 6 kids with two cesareans...I was sick for a long time but switched to a vegetarian diet but after eating a taco that wasnt supposed to have meat in it sent me writhing in constant pain all night, and surgery the next morning...Even the morphine didnt touch the pain..I think what makes it worse is that the pain is constant with no periods of relief in between...with childbirth at least there is rest in between contractions...I dont wish that pain on anyone..

Well, I had my gallstones & gallbladder removed years ago.( about 30 years ago) I was in such pain before the surgery & I felt so much better afterwards! And I still do feel better. My mother, my sister & my brother all had gall stones & gallbladder removed & they all felt much better afterwards...... So, I guess it must just depend on the person. This is the first time I have had an answer to the "pain" I have under my right rib cage since my gall bladder was taken out three years ago. It was so bad for the first three weeks after my surgery that I couldn't even get out of bed - very bad pain! Now, and since then, I have had constant low-grade pain under my right rib cage I thought it was associated with having a spare set of ribs as my Dr. told me a long time ago, but maybe it's from this. The dry skin and dry eyes - along with blurry vision are a real problem. Can't wait to try the Vitamin A to see if there's a difference! Thank you!!!

I almost died from septesimia due to an enflamed gallbladder. My organs were infected so severely that I had a drain for 10 days post surgery and strong antibiotics for a month. So, I for one, am glad my gallbladder was removed. I did have problems afterwards, until I started taking bile salts. I took them for 2 years and then no longer needed to supplement. I take bile salts now, once again, because I'm on keto. I don't take bile salts daily, it depends on my fat intake. I want my liver to create the necessary bile whenever possible. If I'm getting a little constipated, I take bile salts. I stop before getting diarrhea. Don't get too dependant on taking bile salts. I have no other symptoms and my vision and thyroid have actually improved, so I know I am absorbing vitamins and converting hormones adequately without the use of exogenous bile.

I had mine removed in 2013 and for the most part I haven't had any issues but in the last few months I have started to have both right should and rib pains and tightness. Watching this video has helped me make the connection that it is probably caused by dietary issues rather than muscular, and this is tremendously comforting since getting a face to face doctors appointment is still rather tough at the moment due to the knock on effect of the pandemic.
