The phenomenal Peetah Morgan was the live wire of the amazing Morgan Heritage Band. His sudden & tragic passing might very well spell the end of the four decade run of the family band. #morganheritage #peetahmorgan

Oh RAS i was at the concert in Ivory Coast! Two months ago my son asked me What was my best reggae concert? I said it was Morgan Heritage in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) late 1994 0r 1995. In the stadium of the University of Abidjan. We were about 200 0r 300 people. The place was not full but Morgan Heritage gave us a magnifigient show. We were all in a reggae trance. Its a rare moment when a band and the crowd are just like one person. Never in my life i have felt such a harmony feeling between a band and the fans. AT the end of the concert all of us knew that this band would be a very great reggae band. Jah bless Africa. Jah bless Morgan Heritage.

Peetah was the main voice of the group "Morgan Heritage", but the fact there are so many siblings, I believe they will take up the banner.

One of the groups that got me back into Root Music . I loved the fact that they represented new Roots music for my era. Peter and I are the same age . What a shame that he died so suddenly and so soon. RIP.

Denroy Morgan created an Heritage to prepare us for these moments. There are many family members who can step up to replace Peter on lead vocals. Jemere could fill his spot.

You never mentioned that they were brought up in Springfield MA. Gramps made that clear at Peetahs funeral. Rip Peetah, it was a pleasure speaking with you each time we met. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💚💛❤️
