Thank you for sharing. This has inspired me to travel there in the near future. I am Hmong (Miao) and the older I become the more I want to learn about our history.

Beautiful Hmong village. So glad to see how Hmong silver blacksmiths thrive in their craftsmanship business while keeping tradition alive.

Hi EM, I am pleased to stumble upon yr this earlier travel piece, a 101 intro to the Miao comnunity, their culture especially their bijou silversmithing artisanship; did relish every bit of it. Surely, yr charm and charisma makes the show all the more irresistible -- yr impressive acquaintance of the local language is a big plus. So allow me to reprise what was said before: Your parents esp. yr mom must be so proud of you assignment. Fan of yours, Lester

I really enjoy your video. I hope the Hmong people of China will keep our heritage moving forward. I know how hard it is to preserve it when society today is moving so fast forward. I witness as a Hmong living in America, how much we have lost our tradition/cultures. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with us and I'm so envoy. Eva May, as a challenge, it would be so cool if you were to learn the traditional song/aura, (kwv txiaj, especially the ladies would sing it during the New Year/festival) and perform a verse in your video... Can't wait until your new content comes out. Stay blessed...

Hi, Eva. Very nice that you talking about Miao culture and silversmithing - it is a special and amazing thing. Hope you will visit Kongbai village (it is up in the mounting, still following traditional lifestyle and also the village of silversmithing). My teacher in this field also from there. Now I'm writing science research for my Ph.D. in Miao silversmithing and waiting for the end of pandemia to continue my silversmithing study and Miao culture field research.

Hi Eva, thanks for reading out my comment earlier during your live stream. I am heading to XinJiang in a few days for a journalistic expedition. I was wondering if you have experiences with XinJiang ? Care to connect and potentially be part of more live streams about China?

Stop claiming Miao people are Hmong. They don't speak any Hmong and don't look like Hmong. They are a group of Chinese ethnicity.
@Weeping-Angel2 жыл бұрын
Are you misinformed? Of course they speak Hmong. Just not the kind that you speak. The aren’t Chinese Han people. Most Chinese people don’t even understand their language.
