LanaTheBanana yes both of my kids go to daycare on post and my son also goes to school on post. You do have to pay but from what I’ve noticed it is way less then off post. If i could tell you anything about being a single mother active duty is that it’s rewarding but it can definitely be challenging at time. Make sure you have a great support system. Make sure you find time to yourself and have fun. And get on a good schedule and have routines. A lot of people won’t understand how you can do what you do as single nothing being active duty but trust me girl it’s very possible.

My tips would be be come college out of the way try for your bachelor i know that’s a while away but it will be better for you when you come in the army so the best thing you can do starting right now is do good in school because school is a big deal in the army. good luck ❤️

The Queen 1999 yes i am active duty and a single mother of two when coming into the army it is difficult as a single parent trying to go active. I was married when i first got in and got annulled a year later and now i am a single parent in the army

The Queen 1999 so from my understanding it’s nearly impossible to come in active as a single parent even with a family care plan because you would also need a family care plan for guard or reserve, it’s a little easier for a male to come in as a single parent but for females it’s harder for whatever reason. This is why people would give up custody temporarily or get married to come active if they have kids and thank you so much
