Matty Matheson is a Canadian chef who grew up immersed in the hardcore scene of the late 90’s / early 2000’s. He would frequent shows in Canada as well the Buffalo, Syracuse and Albany hardcore scenes. He opened his first restaurant at 26 and has since opened over 10 restaurants. At 29 he had a heart attack after some years of substance abuse which began when he was very young. He is nearly 10 years sober now and working on several projects including Rosa Rugosa, a clothing line producing quality garments out of Canada. He speaks on hardcore music, chef culture and drugs, becoming sober, finding peace amongst a busy lifestyle, his family’s work ethic and more.
