I love love realistic game. I revamped my sims and worlds to be most realistic as I can. But LBY looks gloomy, lifeless. BTW I am sure the dev team will fix it before the debut launch.

Many modern games have realistic graphics and still hold up years later. And even if it doesn't who cares what this game looks like a decade after it releases? Stylized games are timeless but every single game does not need to be a stylized cartoon. They currently have a good balance between realism and cartoony in this game, again they just need to really improve the human characters.

just for the record, it was Sims 2 that only let you place lots by roads, Sims 3 you can place the lot anywhere as long as there was enough space for it. (which means lot placement was in 2 previous versions and still isn't a thing in Sims 4) I am really excited to have this feature again in another game tho! It is great for building custom worlds

I tbink they fixed the lighting. There's definitely less blooming so it no longer looks over exposed which is amazing! I love that they are putting prompts on the screen to let people know like we see there's things to fix still don't worry. This is there best video yet!! I love it!! 😁😁

The customization will really let you tell any story. Being able to move and customize the buildings added to that you can customize all the speech and conversation dialogues means you can have a full medieval world. Or futuristic world, Post Apocalyptic, Fairy Tale. Really anything you want. It's a bit intimidating but I look forward to seeing where people take this!

Im just so excited for building in this game! The half-tile wall will definitely be a game changer for me as I hate making 1-tile wide hallways in The Sims , but sometimes 2-wide is just too much.

I actually like the water texture, it's fun and unique, someone else said it reminds them of sequins and that actually fits because open water is unevenly reflective, like sequins. The current texture may have a little too much contrast between the "sequins" and the "background" and that's likely what's throwing some people off, but I do think they can work with this. And I 100% agree the lighting looks so much better, the contrast and saturation in general are much better balanced and the world looks vibrant and lush. Looking forward to more updates.

I think visiting a hotel and staying at it is a good base feature. Maybe owning and doing everything for upkeep could be an EXPANDING feature. Like an ep to own companies, just expanding on the things that are in lby

This what the Sims should have been. Once a feature has been introduced. There should be leeway for it to be in the base game of the next installment (e.g. weather etc) While I understand that from Sims 1 to 3 they can get away with the same cycle of expansions, because it was simply exciting to see it in new gen graphics. From Sims 4 and onwards it just doesn't make sense anymore.

I get really excited with this further look into the game. It's impressive how much stuff we will get in the basegame for 40€!!! Like, that was the same price TS4 had, when it first came out. Though I don't really like the look of the water at this state of the game. But as you already stated in the video, the developers are still working on so many things. This was the most impressive video of LbY that i’ve seen so far of the world. You’re so right about the green color’s they are more vibrant and show more more different colors of greens than i have seen in there previous videos. Overall this was a very good showing of the improvements that LbY have made over recent months. I’m most excited for hotel’s, yes ‘hotels’ Sims, can’t and won’t ever compete with this at base came.

The MORE I keep Seeing of this game the MORE I am LIKEING it. The Tech Team is doing such an AMAZING job on this game so far. Loving how flexible the lot placement is, but also how much room there is! I remember trying to edit Sunset Valley to fit a bunch of DLC lots into it once and realizing how restrictive it was. Even in the Sims 3 something that having all of these features split into DLCs, which I think is common for any game with DLCs, is how it often doesn't feel like there are a lot of interactions between the content of different DLCs, nor are they often very compatible in terms of gameplay loops. Trying to attend an event added in a DLC, while alerts go off for another thing, the speed of the time progression and basic needs depletion hounding you makes trying to role-play some sort of day out a slog.

Okay so I wouldn’t be mad if there were only one big town. Like how sims 2 had like different towns which was okay but having one big town with different areas. Farther out would be a desert or snowy mountain tops and then the country side farther out and downtown being one big down town and then suburbs a little farther out and rural areas all in one I wouldn’t be upset. Then other towns could be vacation spots. I wouldn’t be mad at multiple towns with different themes but also wouldn’t mind one big town with all of the themes in one just sectioned off by distance and landscape.

Seriously, like I feel bad because LBY and Paralives will give the sims team a run for their money. I feel bad because the game a lot of us grew up on since the 90s is deteriorating and being replaced by better games. I’m excited for them! But the sims should’ve been like this by now as it progressed. 🙄 They are being beaten by small productions. They have a huge team but give us the bare minimum in every pack. We are all sick of it. This is a breath of fresh air for the world of simulation!

I'm guessing that if the early access doesn't have people tending the stores, you can create the jobs with career creator and then assign some randomized character to work that job. Paradox also loves to play the DLC game. But they release so much in the free patch each DLC-which allows for much better crosspack gameplay. Some patches can make a game feel like a whole new game. And if you don’t like the changes, you can always rollback your version or bounce between versions (I actually do this for some mods when I play paradox games). I am not saying paradox is a perfect ethical company. But when I compare it to EA I can see so many ways in which they do better.

An example of what I mean. If the sims 4 were like crusader kings, for example, on the release of seasons, the seasons themselves would have been added to the basegame alongside the calendar. All the seasons’ gameplay like father winter, patchy, the bunny, playing with autumn leaves, the holidays, and so forth would have been locked behind DLC. But what this allows is future DLCs being able to have stuff interact with seasons if they so choose-it’s there in base game available for modders or future DLC to play with.

I'm about to invest in a PC for this game. It's gorgeous. They added a lot since their first video. It looks like Southern Cal or Upstate Mass between cities. It reminds me of a drive I went on to Cape Cod in the east and La Jolla in the West (possibly through Topanga over to Malibu as well). I want this game. I was playing the Sims today, and literally, there were so many missing effects and it kept freezing and having to be restarted--even on the lowest resolution, and my laptops (both MacBook Pros) are less than 5 years old and top of the line, so I know it is NOT my laptops (and EA can stop putting the blame on us. I can't wait to play this game even more now.
