Same here❣️ I literally just used Dawn yesterday to get rid of spots on my BRAND new sweater. Grease Spots from my older washing machine almost ruined it and I even took it to the dry cleaner and they couldn’t remove those spotty stains. Just before pitching it I used dawn dish soap scrubbed and hoped for the best and it worked!! Like brand new again. I also don’t waste money any longer on Carpet cleaners. If my cat gets sick… Dawn dish soap, if I accidentally track dirt or mudd on carpet or spill something… yep Dawn dish soap lol.

I use a thinner silk scrunchie set for the elastic hairband hack. I use this to roll up long sleeves on my button up blouses. Definitely less painful than a traditional elastic hair band!

Great video! I love the hacks you suggested. My own hack is when I have a white tee that gets old and stained, I use tea to dye it and I wear it under my wool or cashmere jumpers. This way, you keep your jumpers clean, especially when you sweat under the arms and it helps when the sweaters are itchy too.

For pulled threads in fabric, I also like to use a very fine Crochet hook to pull the pulled loops through to the inside of fabric. I bought a set in an op shop - never actually crocheted with it, but great for pulling the threads through ☺️. As a bleach I also order sodium percarbonate online - cheaper than bleach from a supermarket, and safe enough to clean beer equipment apparently...😆

Hi Emily! Thank you 🙏 great video. I’ve been using baking soda plus vinegar for about one year to wash my bedsheets, kitchen fabric towels, bathroom towels, white clothing… and it’s amazing!!! If you need, you can repeat the process of applying this paste two times or using the sun light to help to get rid of the stains. Also it’s a game changer to remove yellowness of white Leather Sneakers. Also, it helps a lot with sweat smells in the summer or for workout clothing. I don’t know anymore how to live without it 🤣.

Thanks so much for the tips, especially the baggy sweater etc tucks, these I didn't know at all! The silk scarf trick blew me away, but I prefer the hair trick myself! I also like to use a toothpick to pull the threads of my sweaters on the inside of my cloth so they won't show. I am still struggling with yellow stains so I am going to try your stain removal tips. As for the dropped pin you can also use a magnet to pull it up the carpet. Or if you don't have a magnet for pins, a fridge magner will do the trick just nicely💖✨👍

Miss, here are hacks you may want to play with. First, a knit-picker. Mine has saved many a sweater. And shirt-stays (normally worn by men) for when you tuck in a baggy garment/shirt to keep it in place. No more tucking, re-tucking all day. And the best cat hair remover in my opinion is the Pledge fabric sweeper for pet hair. Its re-usable and totally goes after pet hair!! And Ms. Thomas below is correct about dishwashing detergent. It is full of enzymes that love stains!! I put in on stains and leave the garment in the hamper until wash day. And don't let folks forget about ice- the supreme blood stain remover (never use heat on blood, it will set the stain). Just rub the cubes on the stain until they melt (you will see the stain dissipating), and then some dish detergent.

Love your video's! To me the hack with the jumper and the hair elastics was mind-blowing! I"m gonna use it for sure! What I use with yellow staines in white blouses tops or t-shirts is dishwasher rinse. Use it on the stain, wait a couple of hours and than wash your top/blouse or t-shirt. It always does the trick for me, except when my shirt is really old. Than buy a new one does the trick 😉 Sorry for my English, I'm from Holland.

What a fabulous video, Emily! Excellent tips that I will definitely try. Btw, bleach would NOT remove the yellow stains, so using it really isn’t an option anyway. Once those stains are set, they are permanently there, even if you fade them a bit. Unfortunately, my experience has taught me that white tees just need to be replaced. However, you deserve an A+++ for preserving on that project. Thanks!❤️

Wet the yellow spot, drip the bleach mixture on the yellowed area, let it sit for a minute or two and rinse it out in the sink. Then do the other side. Wash as normal. Super easy and very effective, without using tons of bleach...or risking bleach spots on other items. The tips you shared are great.

To pull through a snag on a sweater, I use a darning needle and a needle threader. I put the needle threader through the eye of the needle, and then poke the needle through the sweater at the base of the snag...I then put the snagged yarn through the needle threader, pull it through and then gently pull the needle through to the back side of the sweater. This works perfectly without stretching or disturbing the sweater at all.
