Watching videos on KZbin, About life-changing poems for hard times, The world around me fades away, As I get lost in the words and rhymes. The words they speak are solace, In a world that's sometimes tough, The poets' lines are pure and true, Their words, they're more than enough. Each stanza's like a warm embrace, That wraps around my soul, The phrases are like lullabies, That make me feel whole. The tears that flow down my cheeks, Are like raindrops in the night, As I watch those moving videos, I feel like I'm taking flight. So I'll keep on watching videos, On KZbin, for sure, For the poems that they offer, Are a balm, that will endure.

That William Ernest Henley poem gave me chills! Powerful delivery! Subbed. The most evil trick ever pulled on men was convincing them that poetry was ever unmasculine, when the words of men like Emerson, Kipling and Henley have taught me more about what it is to be a man than I could have learned in a thousand lifetimes.

In full agreement with you, TJ Blaidd. And that is an understatement.. The fact that the word 'masculine' is under a cloud of late is one of the saddest occurrences since sliced bread. Just joking. But I am serious here, so make that '..since the big bang'. Honestly. The idea that striving for some honour, pride and steadfastness is considered toxic nowadays is very very unfortunate. This poetry is so powerful, has so much clout. Perhaps people shy away from it because it is so confronting, such a nose-rub telling you how meagre the catch is that you landed on the shores of the sea that is Life. Then again it must be understood (I think) that 'man' and 'men' oftentimes are metaphors, denoting or connoting 'person' or 'persons'. This is rather obvious. Poetry is all about connotation and implying the unsayable. Furthermore, one-syllable-words have special status in poetry for they are the embodiment of condensement. Also, 'person' is the least sexy word imagineable. Having said that, I vividly recall how a clutch of young teachers at a Department of English in a Northern town in The Netherlands at one time collectively scathingly dismissed the poem 'If" by R. Kipling, predominantly I felt, because of the last line. They also deemed it unbearably jingoistic. My simple take on it is that the last line is universal. An offering to all people. On a side note, I regret beyond measure how I (and many others) completely missed what, in one way or another, was made available to me at high school.

If you been looking around & paying attention to current worlds events and the impact of society than you know there is a lot at stake & time is running out. People are being taken out left & right, but if you are listening to this message than you have an opportunity & obligation to change. God is building an army of ordinary people the ones that have been forgotten , the ones that have been abandoned & the ones that were not expected to Win! God is looking for new leadership because the old leadership are leading us astray! You know who you are & you are chosen for the mission of change! There’s a lot at stake and people are depending on you to have the courage to ignite change! Are you willing to give it all you got even if you fail! Are you willing to separate yourself from the others to get there? Can you just imagine having everything you ever wanted & it all came from you, you are the master piece of change because you are God’s greatest creations. Believing in yourself and having self confidence in your abilities will be the key to your success. I call upon you all to stand for healing & command change for the greater good starting with self motivation within and bold enough to share it with the world. The conviction in the voice when words are spoken makes this poetry even more powerful. It's like every word that is spoken is spoken from experience and nothing else..

This is so beautifully spoken thank you for sharing 🥰 Poetry and music saved my life. They reminded me to love myself. This was the piece/peace I’d be searching and seeking outside myself for so long. Oooh my beautiful reflective souls Stand tall courageous inner child Look deep in mirrors in all homes Speak the name given graciously mild I love you let’s play again eternally now here and nowhere in time Witness self love witnessed Alchemical treasures priceless inside so kind so kind so divine. Let’s F.L.Y 💜🙏🏻First ~ Love ~ Yourself🙏🏻💜

Whatever the cause may be I'll fight through it all Just to keep on moving forward I'll try to keeps stand For my God is my vine And I'm the branches I need abide in Him To keep on flourishing So I abide in Him Getting my nutrients to grow He's my shepherd and guide So I won't fear what the enemy brings my way All I say is bring it on Hello lovely people, please let's keep going strong. Don't lose hope The above poem is something I wrote in high school 5 years ago when I was in my darkest times Now I'm in university Don't give up there really is light at the end of the tunnel

Wow… this really hit hard. That was so so beautiful. It really felt reassuring. To know that life is all about perseverance, and to keep persevering is absolutely everything. I can’t even tell you how amazing that felt to hear. Your struggled shape you, make you stronger, show you that you’re going to make it each time you do.

God speaking directly to us in pain. To live and to continue to put one step in front of another, no matter how big or small, no matter if we step back.. to live.. to be here.. the desire to rise…. No matter how suppressed it may be.. burns on Rise
