For beautiful beaches AND safaris I recommend Sri Lanka. 3 national parks, endless beaches, rain forests and ruins and temples.

Great video but I'll add one of my picks like everyone else does: Singapore. Marina bay is a fantastic hotel with the tallest rooftop bar/pool(warm!) anywhere. Great views. Many great historical things to see in a small area, with great mass transit. Very safe, English signs everywhere and nice beaches. One of a kind electric tree light show & a total unique place with lots to do.

This was a awesome video...but MY bucket list trip for my 50th is the Seychelles...thats my dream. Can you please do a video on that? I'm completely lost and have NO idea where to start. Thank you!!

This is a great list! One thing you may want to add is Easter Island. It's beautiful and has a variety of activities. Beyond seeing multiple sites with the classic Easter Island statues, there are a ton of remote hiking trails, and caves to explore. One hint is that there are only 2 major airports that fly to Easter Island. The main flight is from Santiago, but there is a once a week flight from Tahiti. That lets you mix a resort vacation with a cultural one.

I appreciate that you included a diverse set of destinations here! I love the American Southwest, and was happy to see that Sedona made the list as it really is an amazing place! In AZ I would also recommend visiting Flagstaff, it's about an hour north of Sedona and has a totally different vibe (think pine trees and rain as opposed to the high desert, you won't feel like you're in AZ anymore!) And sticking with the southwest I would also highly recommend visiting Taos and Santa Fe in New Mexico! Very unique places with a lot of great views and amazing culture! Also highly recommend visiting Albuquerque in October during the International Balloon Fiesta, it's one of the most photographed events in the world for good reason :)

I love love love this video, Vanessa. Truly one to watch several times. Definitely inspiring. I've been to Florence, Italy, Paris, France and Honolulu. However the trips were over 2 decades ago. I really want to see the bucket list places and I am determined to start skipping my usual all inclusive go tos in order to save money to experience at least one of these bucket list places in the near future. Definitely a vision board worthy video. Thank you so much.

Maui Maui Maui…I made the excellent mistake of honeymooning in Hawaii. We spent a couple days in Oahu, which was great exploring outside of Waikiki… But the mistake…we only spent 4 -5 days in Maui…OMG. We’re going back for 8-10 days. So much to do and see. And you at least one full day for Road to Hana. Must do most of the stops along the way

I’ve travelled the world (for business) and I can’t argue your list. I’ve been to 44 countries, and here’s my list: 1. South Africa (Kruger Nat’l Park) … definitely #1 ☝🏻 2. Egypt (Giza & Karnak) 3. Paris 4. Italy (Rome) 5. Ireland 6. the Caribbean (any island; I’ve been to 12) 7. Hawaii (see below) 8. Australia (Sydney) 9. the Netherlands (Amsterdam) 10. Thailand (Bangkok) or Hong Kong And one that I haven’t been to (on MY bucket list) but friends have raved about, is: an Alaskan cruise ☝🏻 Our two older boys live in Hawaii (near Hilo on the Big Island) 🏝️ … and another son lives in Phoenix (yes, the Grand Canyon and Sedona 👍🏻) … and I totally agree, drive Kruger in the dry season

Hi Vanessa 👋🏽, I want to add Dubai as a must see destination. There’s so much to do there so I recommend at least a 10 day visit. I have Paris booked for spring break 😀. Many of the places you mentioned are also on my bucket list as well as Petra in Jordan, Cappadocia in Turkiye, the Egyptian Pyramids, Iceland, and the ice hotel outside of Quebec called Hotel de Glace (it’s only open January-March).

Young families are screwed today... The cost of taking a wife and children anywhere is a virtual "hostage scenario." I can afford to do pretty much anything I want with the rest of my life, but out of principle, I refuse to "burn money" with these bastard extortionists. One really has to research carefully to make sure they don't get fleeced on their trips. Dont even get me started with the airlines thieves either... I remember when I was little when my parents took me around the world, things were not like they are today. And I'm not just talking about obvious price increases. I'm talking about the attitudes of these resort rip offs. It's as if the "Atlantis Resort Rip-Off business model" is now everywhere. I suggest young families are bette roff saving for a home downpayment, and for private school so their kids can avoid the weak-woke educations plaguing our society today.

It depends on what her preferences are of course, but if she’s looking for something tropical, the Caribbean might be the way to go
@LJ-jq8og2 жыл бұрын
Hi Vanessa, thank you for an excellent video. Again, now that I am older and have the time and the money I am shocked by how few places I now never want to go visit. I am a big former scuba diver and explorer and so much of the world to me no longer has unique local-charms anymore. All the cities in Canada have the same restaurants and plazas. Europe is the same. Been there, done that, I can only visit so many Churches, cathedrals, and museums... Romance locations to me are "juvenile experiences" often around other couples who are not desirable to interact with. Wow, having sex inside a room with a beautiful view is just something I have outgrown. :). And the over-priced bad-food restaurants are useless to me unless you are a boozer or restaraunteer spending addict, which so many expats are (Just visit Mexico to drive that perspective home :). ) . Healthier to me to just eat at Whole Foods. :) Also, thanks too all the new amazing wonderful drone video footage out there and thanks to your helpful videos, and other traveler expert videos, since now I see how commercialized so many of these places are which have turned into nothing but glorified "gouging tourist traps." KZbin has saved me a bloody FORTUNE demystifying places I "wanted to visit" which almost spent money and time going to. The McDonalds-ization of the World has rendered many of these places, I now choose to avoid... Indeed, the pyramids are better seen with 4K drone video on your freaking sofa, than putting up with shitty Egyptian customs, thieving Egyptian hotel maids, and street hagglers who ruin your physical site visit. I do not mean to be grumpy just practical and realistic. (I had an Egyptian railing to me what a bad-experience Cairo visiting is today, you just cant make this up ! I was shocked at how emphatic they were). I thought your suggestion on the Maldives was excellent. There's so many cheap islands you can go to for a fraction of the cost literally right across from these very 1-2$K a night rip-offs. But more importantly I wanted to ask you my experience with the Bahamas and the outer islands far exceeds to me what the Maldives offers, is that the water in the outer Bahamas is as beautiful, the beaches are more beautiful, and the water is calm and it's close by to the United States? No need for protracted expensive air travel to the Maldives unless you are some instagram freak which is a whole other conversation. Do you agree?
