‎ Cory takes us around the urban fish farm while feeding Elmer the fly river turtle, Lady Bird the Mbu puffer, platies, halfbeaks, and more. Also, he sits down at the end to talk about some changes and improvements to the KZbin channel. One of our primary goals is to encourage you to enjoy nature daily, so Cory wants to free up more time to make quality videos and travel to see fishkeepers around the world. In the future, we hope you will enjoy seeing other Aquarium Co-Op team members on the channel, watching more "old school" fish room videos, and engaging with us on the Aquarium Co-Op forum.

It’s not a character flaw, you’re an observant human who constantly wants to better yourself and your company. That’s one of the reasons you’re so successful. Love the honesty man. Remember, those toxic negative critics aren’t your customers anyway, they aren’t the ones buying from you and supporting you, so it’s totally ok to cater to the people who are kind and appreciative. I am glad you're taking the steps toward personal happiness! You've done wonderful things for this hobby and I understand how you would feel. I think once creators get bigger they feel trapped by what they can make and their audiences pressure on them to make certain videos. Honestly I think you should pretend that no one is subscribed anymore and give yourself a fresh start. Most people won't notice that you didn't have great B roll in a segment etc. They are here for you so just make whatever you find interesting and they will too. You probably already know all this but just my 2 cents. Hope to meet you in the future sometime!

It’s not a “flaw” that you focus on the negatives, Cory - it’s just being human, and I think we all know that the negatives can stick more than the positives. It’s just how humans are wired. You’re not being whiny or a crybaby or anything when you’re affected by the negatives; thinking that is just letting the negative talk win. You’re human, words can hurt. We all know this, we were all taught it. It’s good you’re taking the steps you need to get away from the things that are toxic, and encouraging the growth of things you enjoy. Luck!

I thoroughly enjoy the videos. It is helpful for me to see the different ways that others in the hobby do things. I purchase from you and support a local store here in Tn. Between help from your videos and the people at the local store my shrimp tank seems to be finally taking off. I look forward to the the videos to come. Thank you again for your part in helping me be a better fish keeper. The first thing I do when I get home from work is sit in my fish room and watch them for a while. It can be difficult to ignore people that are negative but I agree with what I read in another comment, "they are not your customers". This is one of my favorite channels. You only get one life, Cory, so follow your dreams and stay happy. You have been a massive help to me in ths hobby, I love that you are never pushy, you show us what works for you and you leave it up to us. Be encouraged, because I can tell you for every self-centered nasty remark/ comment there are a hundred people cheering you on. I look forward to seeing the changes to your channel and knowing you are more relaxed doing what you want also makes me happy for you. We love you here in Australia....thanks mate for all you do for us.

the Aquarium Co-op from the start for me has always felt like a family. Being able to see the other creators in videos just adds to that family feel. Any video with the perspectives and ideas of other people adds to the depth and diversity of your channel. Thanks for letting us (the internet) see and enjoy the business/family you have built.

I was in Fish keeping for a long time about 29 years ago. Got divorced and the hobby ended for awhile. With the help of your channel I got back into it about a year ago. I absolutely love the information and experience all of you put on this channel. The thing to keep in mind is the fact that there are all kinds of ways to keep fish. People don't have to follow your guidelines to a T. And people should realize this on their own. It's all about the experience and I think you guys have made that very clear to everyone. Advise is just that, advise! You are going to have those people that are always negative, weed them out of your head Cory. Because I absolutely love this channel and everyone involved in it. The insight from everyone is amazing and I will continue to follow everyone in this channel. So thank you for doing what you do!

Don’t worry what people say. People will always talk. But at the end of the day you’re still the best, still have so many members & subscribers and you are incredibly knowledgeable. The people leaving negative comments have nothing better to do & are clearly not invested in learning & expanding their knowledge. People are close minded. You’re not one of those people and it’s refreshing. Congrats again to your lovely company and your successes 😊 🙌🏻

You really help people to have the knowledge they need to love the hobby. I know I have learned so much from your videos. I know "those" people are useless. They won't buy from you or learn from you. I hate it that they have worn you down. I know there are enough that will stand behind you in whatever you do. Take care of yourself for sure!!

Corey, thank you for all you have done for the hobby. It may be impossible to not let the negative comments get you down. There are always problems in this world! You keep doing a great job of what you're doing, I've been dying for the old school fish room videos again. Show Dean building stuff, old fish room videos, we learn a ton from those videos as well. KZbin is the only social media I'm on and that's how I'd keep it if I could.

Your videos and articles helped me sooooo much! I'm just a beginner, and will likely stay that way as I like just having a small 10 gallon, but I wanted to take good care of the fish in that tank, and your channel, website, and store have been great resources to help me accomplish that goal. Whenever I need to replace something, I order from your store. Social media is a nest of bad tempered vipers, there's always someone out there in a pissy mood looking to ruin someone else's day.

I watch a handful of channels regularly, and you are not the only creator that has this issue with negative hurtful comments. It’s a shame that some people can’t put effort into productive comments, and instead spew their unhappiness on everyone else. And it’s sad that those destructive comments really hurt my favorite creators. I find you to be very honest, community minded, and helpful to our fish keeping community. But I know it just takes one jerk to wipe out memories of all of the good comments. Good for you in doing what is best for you and your own wellness!!! I’m so glad that you and your wife are going to be taking a much needed vacation. We can only burn the candle on both ends for so long. 💙

I get it Cory. I keep going because I’ve become quick to block the haters and trolls. They produce nothing and get a thrill out of upsetting those that do produce. You have a great team that can do the live streaming and keep you focused on the big picture (and affiliates like myself that will continue to promote and back you up). Take care and keep it fun.

Watching your videos from the UK and they are really enjoyable. I am just getting back into the hobby and I am starting with an aquascape tank. It is unlikely I will ever buy from you or visit the store (as much as i would love to) but just wanted to say it is a real inspiration to see the love you and all the people in your team and connected to you have for fishkeeping. I can understand your comments on the live stream but be assured what you do brings joy to thousands of people. Personally I prefer the videos so if this means more of these from all of you there then I for one can't wait. If people can't appreciate what you do then it's their loss.

I'm not a member at the moment, but I've been following and learning from you and yours for the last few years. I keep Guppies, ADF's, Corydoras, Bettas and even some shrimp now! I've got 3 tanks ranging from 3g-20g and a 50g guppy pond (they look stupid good in sunlight). Thank you so much for all you do! I LOVE the way you treat your employees and respect them. Of course we like to see you on video, but your employees and guests/friends are all golden in their own ways. I think the content and products you provide are a great balance between quality and affordability. I've also diy'd many things based off of this channel's videos. Anyways, I think you are doing great, and your effort and struggles are seen and respected by many of us. Just keep doing what you do, and I have no doubt that you'll find success in many ways.

Love to you, Cory! I hear you about the negative comments. It's human nature to focus on the negative ones. We can get 100 positive comments, but it's often the 1 nasty one we focus on. And about 99.999% of the time, the negative comment comes from someone who doesn't deserve our head space. Hugs to you and your wife and know you've got a bunch of us in YOUR corner!

Cory I think you know best in all situations. I consider your position frequently, because I like you as a Human Being, not that you are anything but awesome in business, but I am Canadian so i go with you are a really good person. I find myself going back to many of your older videos, just talking about fish and things you do around them daily. There is so much on those older videos! People still log-in to ask you these questions you have answered six ways from Sunday on your videos. This is too sad because going back to your older videos, even if you have heard them before, is a terrific way to make use of your spare time. It is also a good way to get to questions that are more advanced. People need not wait until the next time you do a livestream and may seriously help Aquarists move forward sooner. You've been covering so much of the same thing for so long, maybe it would help you be able to do things, talks and presentations you have dreamed of doing. Further to this, it would really be good to see you and Dean travel, doing tours of fish farms and breeders everywhere. You are a great guy Cory it is a privilege to follow you!
