48 year old ARMY here. They are the biggest musicians in the world. They are living legends. They helped me get out of my depression. Come for the music stay for their personalities. These 7 amazing talented men are so humble, kind and loving. Knowing they would be out of the spotlight for about 2 years because of their mandatory military services they worked hard to have content available for releasing while they are serving like Jimin's song Who. 💜💜

I'm a 47 year old Army. As you may have read in the comments, we say BTS finds you when you need them the most. I can only compare them to The Beatles in popularity worldwide and in terms of innovative songwriting and charisma/personality. This is an upbeat song they made during. the pandemic to lift up the fans. They didn't write it but they do write and produce on most of their music. RM (Leader, Main Rapper) is a lyrical genius so I really do hope you pay attention to the lyrics of the songs. If you do, as life coaches, you will find themes of perseverance, self love, coming of age, overcoming trauma and struggle and finding one's happiness. They draw from many psychologists, poets and artists to create their music and have developed a worldwide audience of all ages because of how diverse the songs and concepts are. They're not your typical boy band. You'll find that out soon enough if you dive deeper. Lastly, the harmonious synergy that the band has created as brothers is something that is unmatched by any group I've seen. They came up from nothing together and each put their heart and soul into working themselves to the bone to make them what they are today. Fans, love and respect each member deeply for their contributions. They have helped many people to avoid suicide and to find themselves and their happiness in life. It's really a true phenomenon. BTS started out as a hip hop group! They have 3 of the best rappers in the whole world. They have a song Dionysus with a few good metal notes! This song was released just to cheer people up during Covid. Probably only 1 of hundreds of songs that don't have a rap verse. Most of their songs have multiple rap verses.

Michael Jackson's nephew actually reacted to this song and he loved it, said it was a great tribute. Also, BTS are very different from the majority of kpop. Most kpop artists don't write and produce and compose their own music, in fact, many aren't allowed to refuse a song or a concept that their companies hand them. In BTS, all of the members have contributed to their music. BTS are different , they write the majority of their songs, funnily enough they didn't write this one lol. But they kept it as is because they thought it was perfect to cheer up the world during the pandemic. Their Korean music is where they shine. As life coaches you should appreciate them. Their songs love myself, magic shop, Mikrocosmos keep me alive and knowing I'm not alone. Songs like not today pump me up when I feel like I can't make it, I swear they have a song for every issue you could have. Their lyrics, content, music, and personalities have saved my life & made me strive to be a better human countless times since I discovered them 6 or so years ago. I’m in my 50s. I had literally never listen to a boy band begin my life. I think I would maybe recognise Westlife…. I also haven’t become interested in any other K-pop groups, despite checking out quite a few. BTS are something else. They have reignited a long-forgotten love for listening to music other than classical/opera. The fact that their music and albums have something to say is a big part of that, along with the huge diversity of the genres and styles they cover, which ensures I never become bored with their sound.

BTS is an amazing group with a wonderful history, which debuted in 2013 with 7 members (RM, SUGA/ Agust D, J-Hope - rap line and Jin, Jimin, V, Jung Kook - vocal line), and which has maintained this composition to this day: no one has left the group and no one has been added. They have no equal. They are known and loved all over the world. They are the most popular and awarded group of all time. And not only in Korea. They are the only ones who have more than 1000 different awards at music awards and music shows at the moment. Who have broken hundreds of records (and are included in the Guinness Book of Records), who have 12 awards at the Billboard Music Awards and the title of Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards. This is not normal BTS type music. All Seven members are EXTREMELY talented. Jung Kook actually has the record for the fastest song to get 1 Billion streams on Spotify (108 days). 4:39 You are absolutely right about the positivity. BTS specifically chose songs like Dynamite (which unusually wasn’t written by them) to release during those bleak lockdown and pandemic days. It’s one of the many things I admire about them. They constantly make decisions on what to release based solely on what message they want to deliver. I find it brave. So many acts seem to chase hits or profits. Of course they do wish to be successful but I believe their primary focus is meaningful music that - because it’s produced in a top quality fashion turns out to be popular.

BTS sings different kind of genres. Butter, Boy with love have the same vibes of Dynamite. But BTS songs aren’t just pop or like others K-POP groups. Their songs reach a lot of genres: hip hop: fire, mic drop, come back home, boy in love; rap: Bapsae, Cyphers, Ddaeng, Huh?; R&B: singularity, Airplane… The members have their solo careers: the rappers J Hope, AGUST D and RM). The vocal line also have solo careers: JungKook (JK), V (Taeyang), Jin and Jimin. The R&B, jazz vibes by V. R&B, contemporary like Blood, Sweat and Tears, Black Swam… MJ has a big influence in K-POP mainly in BTS. All of them has solo careers too. JK has a new famous song STANDING NEXT YOU. Dynamite, Butter & Permission to Dance are the only English "pop" songs released during the pandemic as feel good songs. They are not at all reflective of the more than 230 songs they released over the past 11 years. Their music places a big emphasis on their lyrics, message, references & symbolism. The group is composed of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists who write and produce their own music. "K-pop" is an industry, not a genre. There are many different genres in Korean music as there are in all countries. BTS has never been considered pop. BTS is BTS. And yes, BTS is the most successful Korean group in the world and has surpassed or matched the Beatles in various chart scores. BTS fans, known as ARMY, have a following of 90 million fans worldwide. Only 20% are under the age of 19. The rest are 20-70+ years old. As well, 3% are male. I'm 65. If you're interested in discovering the real BTS and their diversity, I suggest you watch Mic Drop(the Steve Aoki remix), On (Kinetic Manifesto Film), and Black Swan. I think you'll enjoy them. Dynamite was my introduction to BTS. Was in the middle of the pandemic, I was in my lowest point in life, actually ready to just give up. They saved me. They made me feel joy and after getting to know them I went back to believe that actually are good people in the world. They are so talented but still humble and hardworkind. Lyrics is really important with BTS (Dynamite its just a feel good song) but if you listen to Epiphany for example you see what I'm saying. Hope you continue into BTS rabbit hole! Dynamite was my first real introduction to BTS (I had heard DNA previously). I found Dynamite at a time when my father was dying. It was covid time, so, as you can imagine, going to the hospital and covering up every inch of your body to go see your loved one was a daunting and traumatizing experience. I would listen to this song on the way to the hospital, and in that dark dark time, this song gave me hope that happiness was possible again and that life was beautiful and full of joy even if right now I was filled with sadness. The song will always have a very special place in my heart. BTS found me when I needed them the most! 💜

Just a heads up Dynamite is the first of 3 songs in English and it only came about due to pandemic! The boys only did it to bring joy to the Army during a rough time! They had no idea it would have the impact it did! It garnered them their first #1 on the Billboard 100. As well as their Grammy Nomination! They are not a typical boy band! Not only are they amazing as a group but their solos are also breaking records! Jin the oldest just got out of the military in June and the other six will be getting out in June of 2025! They started out bigger internationally due to them needing to circumvent the K Pop industry because their company was essentially an indi company. 2 members, Jimin and J Hope, were actually dancers first but they openly put out their admiration of MJ and have received positive comments from his family. In fact Diana Ross said that JK’s song, he’s the one that started this video off, Standing Next to You is in her playlist and he’s made no bones about it being an MJ tribute. As life coaches, you would enjoy diving into the BTS album BE. It was written and produced by the members to convey their feelings during the COVID shutdown, feelings of grief, disassociation, loss of direction, but at the same time, the belief in each other, in ARMY, and in better times to come. The lead single Life Goes On was the first Korean language song to hit #1 on Billboard Hot 100 (the second was Like Crazy by Jimin, from his album Face, a deeper dive into the depression he experienced then). BE was literally a hand held out to ARMY so we could walk together through that time of fear and uncertainty. Dynamite was included at the end of the album as an escape from difficulties. "Put it on and dance in your room with us; let's forget for a moment." It's the only track not written by the members themselves. BTS are our life coaches, and sometimes therapists. Many have recommended Magic Shop which is a legendary song that encapsulates the best techniques of trauma therapy (discussed by therapist reactors). Don't underestimate the depth and intentionality of BTS music - from Hesse to Jung to Barrie, it's all there.

This kind of pop u saw in dynamite is only just one of the genres they do. Usually their songs have huge hidden meanings in the lyrics and mv. Dynamite was just to cheer people during pandemic. Don't judge just hearing a single song. They are actually not just famous in korea, they are ambassadors of korea, they are one who brought kpop into international level. If u want to checkout about the group, there are many introduction videos about bts on KZbin. React to one of the introduction first. As life coaches, u have come to the right place, cause they had even spoke at the UN about self love. They are someone who makes songs for people to reconsider life when they are at verge of depression and suicide. The army they have (the fandom name is army) is not just teenagers swooning over their looks, but people who got help from the comforting and motivating lyrics that they write.

Hard core BTS ARMY here and I have to say that their English songs are not my favorites. First, they didn't write the English lyrics. Their Korean songs are deep and meaningful. RM (leader of BTS) is a wonderful lyricist. Well, they all are. It's a shame that so many people don't get beyond Dynamite.

it's funny personally I'm a 48 year old French ARMY who mainly grew up listening to rock, hard rock and traditional French music. Rap wasn't really a musical style that I was initially interested in (especially if it wasn't in French) but I admit that since I listened to kpop I became interested in rap. And most of the time my favorite member will be a rapper (Jhope, Gdragon, Han, Hongjoong, Dami....)

MJ is one of BTS's greatest inspirations, as he is the King of Pop and BTS is the king of kpop, which in the end is pop!! They sing and dance very well, but they are also composers and producers. He has 11 years of good music. They are friends with each other and not just a collection of pretty faces, but kind, humble and human men. My first time on your channel. Very nice. You will find BTS is not your average KPop band. That’s because they are so different from anything Kpop as you know it. Right now they are on hiatus and in the military but each have their own solo work. May I suggest Golden album by Jungkook especially Standing Next To You or anything on that album maybe Closer. V has an album Layover as different from Jungkook and Jimin as day and night and RMs Right Person Wrong Place, Suga has D-Day, Hobi has Hope on the street. Each so different from the other but yet they make one amazing group

Many idols are inspired by MJ...Taemin, the best dancer in all of k-pop, is even called the Korean Michael Jackson (which personally annoys me...MJ was and remains a great artist...Taemin is was inspired by MJ but it's not a copy of him..he has his own identity...he's a real artist that I recommend you listen to).Even if Dynamite is a happy song, in reality in many of their songs BTS deals with very deep.

Don’t assume that they’re a boy band like Backstreet Boys. Nothing like them, though this song, Dynamite, might give you that impression. React to their Korean songs (put on English subtitles) and you’ll get a whole different vibe.

BTS no es absolutamente como cualquier otra banda de kpop, es un hecho que ARMY no considera a BTS kpop. A mi parecer Dynamite no debería ser la canción de introducción, si es buena y alegre, pero no refleja la escencia y el mensaje de Bangtan. Soy una ARMY mexicana de 48 años, maestra universitaria de química y madre de tres hijos varones, los chicos de BTS me encontraron en 2020, justamente antes del inicio de la pandemia y no fue casualidad.
