Astonishing! In a little over 100 years life expectancy has almost doubled in most European countries. A tribute to medical and social advances. 😊🇬🇷

Tax avoiders can afford private healthcare.

@@KoldingDenmarkAs a Swiss we pay more than enough taxes. Our health care system is also very expensive. Stop spreading false info. There are a few rich foreigners that get special treatment with taxes which many feel is not fair but the majority of the population of Switzerland pay dearly for every day costs. At the end of the month there is just not much leftover compared to many other countries.

@rehrbar I know. Sorry for the joke. It goes very much for my countrymen living in your country. What you describe actually has been covered in a documentary by the media here.

Anyone got an explanation for why life expectancy everywhere still increased during Corona?
@qw16265 күн бұрын
becaue it’s just averaged out, he didn’t collect life expectancy for evert year in every country
@jurgenthegerman12795 күн бұрын
@qw1626 Yes he did. And in every country, population increased. Not like during the Black Death in medieval Europe, when it decreased everywhere. Draw your own conclusions.

Cause many people died and the impact in the stadistics getting down. Just for that.
@herrhartmann303622 сағат бұрын
It's life expectancy at birth. Not the average age at which people actually died. It's possible that more people than usual died during the pandemic. But a baby born in that time won't suddenly die sooner just because there was some medical trouble in the world.

@@rikers_libido That is because no countries are officially considered to be in the gap between the first and third world. But the gap is still there. It has long been debated if Italy is among the "worst" first-world countries or best second-world countries. On many important metrics, it ranks significantly worse than the First World average( median purchasing power, etc.). But it also ranks significantly higher than average second-world countries by some important metrics( avg. Life expectancy)
