This week, amidst the warm embrace of our Italian family, we savoured enchanting strolls along the seaside, delighted in the serendipity of unexpected gifts, imparted wisdom through a heartfelt speech at the school, and relished the delightful hues of pink beetroot soup.

@@SomethingLikeThis1 HI we are planning to move to Ventimiglia di Sicilia about one hour from Palermo as my parents were born there but moved to the UK in the 1950's. We've had enough of living in UK 😊

@johnanz good move 👏 I heard of Caccamo which is not too far from Ventimiglia but the drive up the hills is a bit crazy. I still haven't been there but it's definitely on our list. Is Ventimiglia worth visiting too?

@@SomethingLikeThis1 Yes, Ventimiglia is a beautiful little town, definitely worth visiting especially Il Ritrovo Bar. If you visit there let me know and I'll for sure watch the video.

In Europe, the 1st May, Worker's Day it's holiday. Won't the seeds be mantovani pumpkin? There is a delicious recipe for mantovani ravioli, made with this pumpkin, amaretti, apple mustard and nutmeg.

Here it's holidays too and usually people go to the countryside and do barbecue but it was too cold this month. Yes, that's the name of the pumpkin! That sounds like a delicious filling, something I would order in the restaurant. I've never heard of apple mustard before. Do you buy it or do you make it at home ?

Hello 👋 Just Google Balestrate beach or Spiaggia di Balestrate. It gets extremely busy during the summer.
