I am a payroll specialist and I've worked in HR for years and I was in tears a few weeks ago. I was overwhelmed and frustrated. I am currently trying to find my place in this world... corporate America is not it. I am praying and asking God to direct my path because I'm in my late 30s and I just want to be happy. I recently moved to TX and I'm thinking of giving another state a try. (I don't have kids or a husband so I have that flexibility) but it's not working out here. To anyone who is reading this, you are valuable and you are worth it, I pray that you find your niche and your happiness and it is more than you ever could have ever imagined. 🙌🏽

I have this magnet that says “no matter how long the winter, spring will come” No matter how dark things may feel, seem, or look. No matter how confused, angry, or doubtful you may be. No matter what you’re facing right now, be encouraged in the fact that spring (a new day, a new season, life, new creativity) will come. Everything you’re planting right now, and the tears your sowing MUST PRODUCE A HARVEST. Also, remember that you’re when you’re weak, it is then when you become strong. Not because of anything you’re doing, but because you are at the point where Gods power can be seen in your life and where his strength can work in you to then power you. Stay strong, keep your faith, stay prayerful and B R E A T H E. Everything (eventually) works out for the good, even if what you thought was good, now seems bad.

Give the job some time. I felt the same way about my job. I felt so strongly about it that I told my boss that I don't think I'll make it 6 months. That was 6 years ago and I'm still there. I had to change my perspective and realize what was in my control and what wasn't. That allowed me to not stress over processes at my job.

I was a patient care tech and it’s physically exhausting. You get use to it tho. I wasn’t happy but I knew it was for a purpose. I am now a Nurse. I would suggest looking into all the possibilities in healthcare. Continue to PRAY about your career & literally write it down and ask God to give you clarity.

Amen! Great idea. And yes it’s very exhausting!

@@DaishaView Sonography, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy are all good options within the healthcare field in my opinion. I was talked out of Sonography because “Nursing offered more options”. That’s something you’ll hear when you have conversations. Honestly, it’s okay to cry. I wish my tear ducts allowed me to produce tears when I’m frustrated/overwhelmed but instead it’s internalize and brushed to the side lol I practice seeing the positive thing and for years told myself it’s all temporary. With that I maintain my peace and happiness. You’ll do great with whatever you decide (and if you want to quit after 3-6 months Do it)

I think you should try working a PRN position in the medical field. A lot of people think they will not make enough money working PRN but in my experience there is always an opportunity to make as little or as much as you want because you can set your own schedule, and if you start to feel stressed or you’re just busy with KZbin you can just say you’re unavailable for a week and you’re just able to be off without worrying about having PTO or Vacation days. Hope that’s helpful!!
