Recently visited Germany and Berlin was one of the cities. I saw a lot of things you have said in the past and in this video. Friendships as adults are just super hard, people have less time and desire to connect and have more friends. You seem thriving in Berlin and it’s so nice to see !

Thank you for your comment! Friendships are very hard but as I mentioned in my vid and it’s so difficult finding people on the same wave length as you 😭 let’s see how Berlin treats me

I’ve used bumble friends before and met some cool girls on there! But they ended up going back to their country after some time 😭 then I never used the app again lol

Swapping homes makes sense if you need to move between districts. This usually happens when someone has found a job further away from home, and it's easier to swap with someone else. It also allows you to keep the price of the rent that you wouldn't be able to find with new contracts. But you need to have something to offeer in the first place, to even consider this option.

Someways you could make friends as an adult is joining a gym, I’ve met good friends from gyms. Or find group activities like cooking or art classes where there might be people u can connect with. Last thing become a regular at a local bar go once a week…

I think Berlin is definitely better for making friendship. I have been here 7 months and I have a few solid individuals I can get my social needs fulfilled by and there is always meet up which allows you to attend social events and talk to people like you and those that are different and you can actually build something with those people too.

Adult friendships are so hard 😭 although I think I'm experiencing the opposite to you. My issue is that I want more outdoorsy friends but can't seem to find the right group within my age group plus I live in the middle of a city 🙃. But honestly, moving to a new city is exciting and I hope you enjoy your time and find a (or even multiple) friendship groups. I'd love to see Berlin around Christmas time with the Christmas markets so if I'm in the city it'll be cool to hang out 😊 (disclaimer: not a serial killer).

Hey Zoe-Marie that was very transparent. Cities may be more expensive but diversity is a beautiful thing. I enjoy trying different ethnic dishes which is abundant in bigger cities compared to some small villages. I also enjoy hearing other languages such as Spanish, French, Italian, etc. which is normal in bigger cities. How is Sven adjusting to the city? I´m glad you made the move. You can only go up from here; wishing you the best! Sorry, this is too long, yikes!

Thanks, Zoie, for the video. I am glad you like Berlin so far. Making friends here in Germany is still my biggest challenge. I live in a smaller town now and looking for a job in a bigger city, so I hope to be able to make friends then. I am glad the move worked out for you both. You look so beautiful as always. Thanks again.

Stuttgart is very nice. I like southern Germany or as they say, Bavarian country. However, I haven't been to Berlin, which I know has a large Caribbean community, but if I were to move to Germany, I'd choose Southern Germany to make me feel like I've gone somewhere. I've noticed the more diverse parts of Europe are pretty similar... especially since I'm a New Yorker from Brooklyn.

The housing crisis in Berlin is severe. What happened is that for almost twenty years after the fall of the wall Berlin had a surplus, the city was selling housing and building little, and didn't recognize that it was actually starting by tenthousands a year since 1998 . When I came, in 2005, I had 5 options of flats, for cheap, and good, in one weekend. More than 400k people growth since the mid-ninties. And in 2007 all the empty flats were gone. And growth accelerated. The Tauschwohnung is mainly people going to other cities for a couple months, down-/-upsizing, etc. Housing policy is not doing good, construction is slow.... Berlin is very social, serious friendship is a bit harder. Sometimes, ya gotta push it a bit. :)

I love to meet up with girls like you seem drama free and very cool and relax and your vibes nice ❤❤❤I am start my full time travel so when I come to Berlin I am definitely hitting you up….. plus I am happy you move for your mental health it’s important… same with me in America 🇺🇸 Chicago it’s to hard for me to make friends people always busy :( or have to make appointments and it’s taken too much on me so I got me a one way ticket to take my travel KZbin seriously in 3 week I am start.

Yes the diversity helps in Berlin. Honestly I expected it to be worse in many ways but I get pleasantly surprised daily as a black woman in Berlin. And yes housing is ridiculous. Apartment hunting is the hunger games and very expensive 😂 . I have only been here for 4 months and still fitting so I seriously relate to everything you say very very deeply

Hello!! I just bumped into your channel literally 15 minutes ago through the "recommended videos algorithm" KZbin has, due to the fact that i was watching another channel called "Jetlag Warriors" which is also a travel channel as well, involving this interracial married couple of a Canadian dude and an Indonesian chick traveling all through Romania a.k.a (my home country) lol, and they are just as mesmerized as you are there in Germany!! Speaking of traveling, i strongly suggest that you visit Romania at some point, BUT BE WARNED..... It's Melancholia inducing lol due to its natural beauty all throughout, which it's your weak spot so I've heard 😉. I'm imploring you to start watching some of their traveling vlogs in Romania, because I now know what you like about Germany involving its natural beauty!! The Carpathian Mountains literally cut through Romania, offering its inhabitants and/or tourists a variety of topographical features to choose from, and with that said, i know with extreme certainty that you'll love the multitude of "all natural undisturbed topography" the country has to offer, as well as "the multitude of green pastures and all the picturesque landscapes along with a dozen or two original Castles you'd only hear about in fairytales." Do yourself a favor and plan an excursion there with your husband/partner whatever, or all alone if you prefer.......I promise you that you'll get so attached to that place, to the point where you'll develop extreme nostalgia and melancholy once you've experienced every ounce of pure natural undisturbed beauty which not many countries can brag about having..!! Cheers 👌
