There is no place to live like Canada. Is almost perfect. I'm European, and the people in Europe are so rude, selfish, insensitive while in Canada people are so nice, and the culture is amazing. People in Canada live daily without showing off like Europeans. Canadians know how to live even with little. Love Canada!

After several years in Canada, you will discover that you have to help each other here, since your car may quit suddenly`or you may find your car buried in snow (both have happened to me.) The friendliness of Canadians is based on "you never know when it will happen to you--so you better help out when you can.

The wages are not high when contrasted with the high cost of living . Everything is taxed and 42 % of the average person's income goes to taxes that will increase this year with the new taxes the current PM had added. There is a shortage of low cost housing and there are many homeless individuals.

First time watching one of your videos (but not the last). You're a very eloquent speaker - it's very easy to listen to you and understand exactly what you are saying. Well done. For anyone fearing the cold Canadian winter, there are milder areas of the country as well. On the west coast, you can go the entire winter without snow or with maybe just a few days where there is snow on the ground. Instead of snow, the west coast does get lots of rain though. To many, that is a much more pleasant climate than the freezing winter temperatures in Ontario etc. With either environment, I think the key is simply to be prepared and dress appropriately. If you have the proper clothing/outerwear, the cold is not that big of an issue, and the same goes for the rain on the west coast. I lived in Banff, in the Rocky Mountains for 4 years, and I absolutely loved the winters there. Tons of snow from November through March, but all winter long, it was either clear, sunny and absolutely drop dead gorgeous, or when it did snow, it was often just gently falling snow - so quiet and peaceful and cozy - a true winter wonderland.

I was born and raised in the GTA (greater toronto area) and I agree with you although living anywhere near Toronto is SO expensive. Many people buy property hours away from work for affordable living and commute 2 to 3 hours a day. Also yes health care is "free" but because of this as you said the wait times are crazy and when you do see the doctor most times your just rushed because the doctors are so busy and things get missed. Also in the GTA majority of people commute and work alot and get little time to spend with their families. This is also because the traffic is brutal because we do not have good transportation systems so there are just so many cars on the road.

omg, yea I totally agree with you, especially you can a have good life with less expense, and the medical stuffs. The average wage for Canadian is much better than other countries, and, thanks to States where has good industries and markets, we can purchase good quality stuffs for less. And, yea I do feel bad when I feel sick, but my waiting list is heck long. I really want to be selfish at the moment lol

Lived here all my life and love it here. One interesting thing I noticed with newcomers who especially come from other high population countries, they are not used to walking around the neighbourhood with only few people outside especially if you will live in the suburbs here. It’s funny because when i visit my home country in asian i get overwhelmed with the over crowded streets and with people always walking around doing something.

Thats a good point you brought up about the buses!!! But it does happen. Take your concerns to the MP in your community to make some changes! Remember it starts with you and this could be a benefit for every one! On health care, Canadians are a very patient people and Im sure waiting our turn in a hospital room is the cause of that. We can wait for hours and not complain because we know that eventually it will be our time. Next time you are in a waiting room look around you at others patirntly waiting their turn, I think this is why we are so 'nice". we have less stress and have learned how to "what more for someone else!

I am 6th generation Canadian. It's hard for anyone to make a date with someone from a big city -- people are just too busy, and can't make date without their calendar, even my own family. The quality of bus service depends on the city you live in. Yes, it is cold in winter -- I wear longjohns under slacks, layer up on top, a good parka and tuque, mitts. When buses were late in Hamilton, it turned out to be due to understaffing -- publicity about it lead to hiring and training of 68 new drivers. Socialized medicine does involve wait times because everything is done on an "as needed" basis. It's free for all citizens. If you want to go to USA and pay for quicker service, you are free to do so. Thanks for posting -- interesting to hear.

Agreed. Halifax Transit is very good at keeping its published schedule. However, the schedule often goes out the window when the weather takes a hand. Here, the transit system has a phone number to call for each bus stop for the next bus, and the one after, for each route that services the stop. It also has an interactive internet presence that has can relay the actual time since there is a computer checking each buses actual position in the city. This system of locating buses started in the 1980's while I was driving for Transit. "A Old Retired Bus Driver"

I completely agree with the contents of this video especially the "standing on bus stop in freezing temperatures". The government hasn't really thought much about doing some changes to bus stops at a place where winters can be 6-9 months in a year..I experienced standing in -20 when no bus came in completely unguarded stop.. nightmare!!

Good manners is an attitude to appreciate. However I do encounter lots of fake smiles and indeed being hated behind me. Sometimes we just aware that it's fake and being hated. There are people very good in faking it to the maximum extend to get things done. It hurts but i never retaliate and instead limit my involvement with such individuals. Being a Malaysian, sometimes people don't even have no courtesy to say 'thanks' like when you hold the door while people are walking through and under similar situation. Such manners even lacks in Singapore although it’s better than Malaysia. However I do admire Canadians basic manners in public. There are rotten eggs everywhere and it can be minimized by cultivating the good habits. The term ‘equal’ is also forbidden in this part of the world despite born and raised here. I wish one day can live in a place that fairs better tolerance without any hate based rules. Trying to be a better human being. ~ A Rationalist Malaysian.

Hi. Really enjoyed your video. if I may suggest something, in most videos when you talk to your camera, your eyes dart slightly to the side often. I can imagine that it can be incredibly tough to keep your eyes focused right on the lens at all times, and honestly its not a big deal. It just sometimes feels like losing eye contact with someone when you are having a conversation. Just my observation. Please feel free to ignore. Anyways, happy to see you.
