I have travelled a lot of US and I this time I soft landed in Canada to check out in Feb 2023 (I am writing this from New York airport on way back to India), 90% immigrants whom I conversed said if they get equivalent (not equal) pay in their home country they would right away move back. Weather is harsh, though Toronto was good in Feb compared to other years, but I still felt it is harsh (I live in Delhi), especially if you don't have a car (car would add ~700 CAD a month expense). Mostly people said that government enables people in Canada but just to take away more taxes. I know one can do their own business, consultancy but jobs are still in majority. Burnaby and Vanc were nice weather wise, but small houses and sky high rents. I don't have to think twice before ordering food in India or to take my family out 4 times a month, here it's quite expensive. No one said they have good work life balance, they said they have to work all the time but still they can't save much. University of Toronto is a good university but honestly it's campus doesn't look like a university Campus, there are lot of government roads running inside campus, I just dint feel it. Couples with small kids have to spend around 1000 CAD on day care. I monitored construction of my 4 story house in Gurgaon, India in 2018-2019, believe me construction in Canada town houses/independent houses is shit. All wooden walls, they don't even have concrete roof (pakki chhat nhi hai bhai), people walking on stairs or floor is felt on the down floors. I always wondered why hurricanes do so much damage in these countries, poor quality of of construction explains it. People are just paying for land, construction is just for name sake, seriously hollow wooden doors? who does that? I did not find Canadians or immigrants as smart as Indians, a lot of them were just dumb (dint mean to hurt sentiments here). International schooling in India (yes at a price) is so much better than students doing protest now and then in Canada (yes free, but quality over money matters for me when I think of my kids upbringing). Colleges have better ranking and that is primarily because of infrastructure that is provided in Canada and not really education. Well I am sure if you pay same college fee in India, Indian colleges can match the infra :D, 40 Lakh INR for Masters (talking about university of Toronto, CS course). Basically, you would like roads and low population in general that is all! yes there is natural beauty and clean air but look for it in India and I am sure you will find it. I have travelled India quite a lot as well. I would recommend getting a job in top MNC in India, get 100% WFH and settle in tier 2 city or outer Bangalore (basically spread out), take care of your parents and kids, Indian culture is so much better, trust me you are good in India. Or, come to Canada get citizenship and move back. Remember Canada was/is an inhabitable land, there is a reason why historically population grew (it was not just cz of illiteracy and awareness) in south Asian region :) they can't even grow their own food period. "Sari zindagi kat gai bhai, bas ek lakkad ka ghar aur 1 gadi hi hath ai" - this is a comment from Indian immigrant driving Uber in Canada, who immigrated 20 years back (go by sentiment and not absolute numbers) PS, I rushed through the comment, please ignore any typos. I pursued Canada immigration since 2018.

This is so true, i myself Left a highly paid IT job back in home and moved to Canada as student started all over again but i never thought it as a reset but a progression in my career. It took a course which upgrade my skills even better and to be honest i got a full time job with in a week after my course. All it takes a little faith on yourself and confidence.

Thank you so much for this amazing motivating video amongst all the negative videos on youtube about Canada. Somewhere I am surprised I only see Indian KZbinrs making such negative videos about Canada god knows why. Anyway, finally found an enthusiastic and positive Indian KZbinr. Wishing you guys all success, and peace. Keep making such videos 🙏

Navjot....I have much experience living in sharing with girls...jab koi responsibility nhi lena chahta and wahi krta hai jiske liye mana kiya tab Bhai itna gussa aata hai pucho mat...it's not easy to live in sharing especially when there are no like-minded people... majboori me rehna padta hai Imagine a mature working girl of 35 living with 2-3 students aged between 21-25... thinking match nhi hoti and sab kuch gadbad hota hai Canada me bhi aisa hi hoga....sabhi to pata hona chahiye

I concur with your comment since it's the same issue my wife is facing currently. Living with other students 4-8 years younger to her. Apart from the age difference, her housemates don't even know the rules and dynamics to live in a shared environment. Talking loud on the phone while video calling their family back home. Watching reels loud when someone is studying. The wooden walls don't absorb the sound much.

I’m sorry but I disagree to your “life will be awesome for the next 40 years” comment. I don’t think anyone should be so naive to think that they will live that long or their partner will live that long or be healthy. It sounds morbid but that’s life. There is another school of thought where people want to life to the fullest in the moment because yes life is too short and stuff happens. Not saying go blow up all the money but I’m just saying you cannot take life for granted.

This couple is beyond naive. He plans for 30 years as if this guy knows what is going to happen precisely and he is going to extrapolate his current life into the future. Only stupid and naive ppl will follow them.

The stock images popping up every now and then take away from the authenticity and "heart-to-heart" nature of noFilterThursday. They're a distraction and I'd recommend getting rid of them.
