@Sean Hardman The original poster said that Greek gas prices are "higher than prices even in the US". I was saying that they always are higher in Greece. For instance, I recently $4.19 per gallon (3.7 liters), and the current price for gasoline in Greece is $2.26 per liter ($8.36 per gallon).

I feel the same in the US and I live very close to oil fields and refineries. I hate to say it but it isn't just the war that is affecting everything....prices are going up because of how we all treated COVID, especially here in the US by just dumping trillions of dollars into the economy. Since currencies around the world are based off of the US dollar.... all of them will be affected. This is exactly what I experienced before the 2008 recession...and I have a horrible feeling that is fixing to happen again. Everything is increasing in cost...yet I make less and less money every day thanks to inflation. This is what those fucking idiots that said "please government...just give us all money!!!" has caused...

I was surveying the price of a barrel of oil in the last 10 years earlier on. In 2012, 2013 & part of 2014 for some reason, the price of a barrel of oil shot up to almost the same level as it is now, about $107.00 per barrel. Then the average price of a Litre of petrol was £1.25 here in the UK. Today the cheapest is £1.62 per Litre and some stations sell it at £1.74 per Litre. In 2016 the price of a barrel of oil dropped to around $58.00, yet the price of petrol only camedown to £1.07 per Litre, a decrease of only 18% for a reduction in price of oil of over 60%. Something doesn't add up. Somebody has decided to recoup the money the governments spent ( governments do not have money, it is all from taxes collected from working people so in effect it was our money ) during the pandemic, by these unprecedented increases in the price of all energy, of this I am certain. And now this stupid pointless conflict over nothing. Where are we heading with this Globalism in charge of our destinies?

The vast majority of people, from ANY country in the world, want the same things: peace, decent standards of living, to love and be loved, friendships, good health... It's so sad and unacceptable that most of these basic needs are controlled by a very tiny elite of diabolical psycopaths with more money than sense who don't give a damn about human life. Yes your right, BUT it was PUTIN and his generals and the Russian paranoia that started this WAR. Dunno why they think anyone's interested in Invading Russia. Europe including Ukraine want to live in peace. But Putin thinks he has a divine right to decide what areas still make up Russia. He needs to get over the fact that the USSR is NO more and Ukraine is a free sovereign nation that can do as it pleases even join NATO or Europe. Never forget who the aggressor is and that RUSSIA invaded Ukraine. Yes we all want peace but not at the price of giving Ukraine back to Russia, It's only going to get worse ,Putin's plans have back fired ,pushing Sweden and Finland towards NATO and not just Ukraine 🙄🙄🤔 it's all very pointless but this happens when you have a unbalanced mentally ill Despot pulling the strings 🙄🙄?!?!!!

@@jan3382 NO one had any interest with a full war with Russia. Both sides have thousands of nukes , far more than is needed as a deterrent , unless things have changed a lot it was always Russia who had the most ICBMS. And u can look on it the other way, until the last ten years it was Russia who threatened Europe. Anyway it's not you or me , generally it's Putin after all he started the war with this invasion. He can't hide the fact it's a war now, thousands dead on both sides. We have had good relationship with Russia before , worth Gorbachev and others. Obviously a limited amount of nukes keeps a balance and helps to not have a war. There is NO way Europe and the West would start throwing nukes. After all it's called MAD for a reason " mutually assured destruction ", a war no one can win as in the END of life !!!!!. We can disagree all day but no one wants any Russian territory. We want to live in peace. How ever this invasion is reported by RT, it was an INVASION. NO NATO won't ever start a war but an invasion of Baltic States or Poland is an attack against all. With recent missile attacks on civilians in a shopping mall WTF is Putin doing???, I'm sure the average Russian are fine people but Putin wants the whole of Ukraine under his control. And that is not his choice and will never happen. Alas unless he stops this madness or u get a new leader this war will drag on for ages and NATO will add more and more modern weapons. NO Russian civilian towns have been targeted even though Russia is throwing missiles at Ukrainian towns. This will just lead to the USA saying " ok we will send the long range MLRS and the computers for m777 and Excalibur ( accurate to six feet ). I DON'T want a war and I think most people don't, we would like a peaceful world but it all changed when Putin invaded and started a war with a sovereign nation. @@jan3382 NO ONE has invaded and massacred Russia in the crazy way that Russia is doing now in Ukraine. Missiles surrounding your country? How about nuclear warheads pointing to all of Europe that Russia is constantly threatening to use? Russia has started this horrible war using Donbass as an EXCUSE to expand its dominion according to a plan that the Kremlin has meticulously constructed for years. Does Russia really want peace? Good grief- if we weren’t different, we would all be engaged in killing each other for another few feet of land to dominate. We would all seek to live in servitude and obey the whims and wishes of a tyrant. Insight: middle class Russians have access to exactly the same physical comforts and things middle class people have anywhere else on this planet. They just speak a different language. If you didn’t know this video was shot in Russia you might think it shows Paris or the UK. Or even the US. What Russians do not have access to is freedoms protected by an iron clad constitution. They never have had this and likely never will. Go to Russia and visit a large city, small town, tiny village, rural farms. THEN rethink how much all people are alike and how they differ.

@@dougcollins8232 The reason for war is always the same, they think they difrent/better than others and they have the right. The only differences is that they believe any bulshit that suports their claim with whole heart. But its always the same price, what you give is what you get. Germans learned it in ww2 and changed, but rusia despite atrosities they done in ww2 got good reputation becouse of US prezident that wanted good relationship, so he forgot the bad and only left the good. Now after 70+ years all that remembered the real deal are dead and only the myth of glory remains that fuels the ambition. Same ambition that germans once had but learned be humility how wrong their where. When people get bored from daily war, thats the start of new one. Never get bored of the facts, always remember the real truth or it will repeat it self. Some may say that rusia whould never gone to it if it was accepted in the team(team earth)but because most didnt want to trust them its their foult. But its the owner foult if he locks the dor on his house so a criminal cant get in ? Germany was in this decade one of the few who wanted rusia intagrated in team and they invested in it so that rusia has no reason to atack becouse of abandoment and it backfired on them. Rusia lost all reason despite all that builded trust. Ukraine isnt the reason. Putin started many global conflicts and blamed US even tho he was responsible as well. All seen it, Noone could prove it, but all could tell it was the case. Same with the munition explosions all over EU that got linked to rusian agents. What did rusia? Deny it. All the actions after was only of the power not diplomacy. If you only stall for time and never try to show compation that is free of charge, noobody will believe you. Brute force never led to acceptence, nor the lie propaganda to technological development. Sadly only war changes a thing and only total decimation of once pride changes human nature. Crimes that are left unpunished will ocur again later. Because there will always come someone to achieve fame and glory for him self. Rusia never admited any crime in history of their nation and does who said otherwise where banned or warned or else. People who lack aducation tend to be easy manipulated and blame anyone for their fails. Rusia always warped their history and never admited crimes or thanked other nation. They now will celebrate 9may as victory in WW2 and probbly some achievments in ukraine "situation" but i liked to see some thanks in their presentation to the alies who helped them to have chance to winn in that war. Its known fact that rusia had bilions of material send in the war be alies free of charge that basicli give them any chance agains germans. If they didnt get any help it whould ended diferent way. But i never see them thank fot that or admit it was crusial. Noone wanted them help at that time because all hated them couse of the war they self started. But their swalow pride because only way to stop germans was to unite even with your enemy. Now when World send help to basicli the same people its considered bad ? I wish the situation would turn and there was some switch to repair thinks that happen and the broken trust that rusians wont be able to repair any time soon because it will divide them even more from rest of the world. They only hope is greed from those who have less wealth then they have. Not many of those around tho. Lets prapare for century of cold war where truth is just a myth as the trust.😮‍💨

Is it common in Poland to follow your warm greetings with an insult? Trying to downplay what's she's experiencing and compare it to Ukraine is pretty judgemental and rude. She has no control over what's going on in Ukraine. There's nothing wrong with her telling her perspective

I enjoy your blogging, thanks for all your posts. I like that you keep it real and factual and free of "issues." I had just received my 3 year Russian visa when the pandemic hit😭 and now this year with new "complications" it seems that my dream to visit Russia is again postponed. Regardless, I greatly appreciate your window into Russia. 🍾 Congratulations for your engagement 🥂 and I hope that your visa is issued very soon. I'm curious as you go through the malls and we see the closed doors of foreign brands; which are the Russian brands? Could you show us the comparable Russian brands for clothing & sportswear and electronics etc? Of course most already know the obvious famous Russian luxury brands for vodka, caviar etc.

@@VENETONYC This factories that made cameras and watches are long time history now. Think also Soviet cameras did use east German optic and this i also gone, mean, more expensive now as the "freidship" price back then. This industry collapsed with downfall of the USSR as there this products was not needed any more. And after Russian start to buy other brands. Russians also like more brands like Adidas and Puma, in Russia not much people would by sportwear from domestic brand. Even T-Shirt with Putin face or "I like Russia" are from Asian countries (same as "MAGA" caps in US)

Preeveeyet Sveta, I'm in Changchun, Jilin, NE China and I've been locked down in my apartment for 7 weeks as a result of the covid hysteria. This city of 8 million, just now, is beginning to open up and on May 5th, the small shops are supposed to open. We'll see, as they've lied before. I've enjoyed China for 10 years because of the low cost of living compared to New York State, where I'm from. Plus, in America, you really need an automobile whereas in Chinese cities, a car isn't needed, at all. But after this strict lockdown, I can't stay here and I plan to move to S America. Thanks for your vids, I enjoy them......I studied Russian in college and I was in Moscow in 1992. I'm a Russophile because Russian people, like you, are awesome. Chinese people are super friendly too, but the governments are intolerable. Paka.....
