I came to visit Ukraine's Carpathian Mountains to get away from the city life and get into nature. Here I would be visiting an internet friend and meeting for the first time ever. Brian from Canada moved to this village in the mountains with his Ukrainian Born wife and baby daughter.

Nice video! By the way of you wonder how people were living in Carpathian in the last 2 centuries you should come to a nearby town called Kolochava (Колочава) which is ±20 minutes by car from your location. In the town you can find a beautiful open air museum with real old houses and some other cool stuff such as WW1/2 German helmets and some old cars and a steam train!

Of all the things about this cabin I was impressed with the most, it was the care (and incredible amount of time/work/effort) put into the log preparation prior to building… At the onset when you first got there I almost though they might have been factory made in some plastic or epoxy process due to how perfect they look! Amazing work nonetheless!! Great vlog Johnny! Edit: As for giving birth in Canada, people do not have to pay anything for a basic birth and stay, however if you want a private room or suite in the hospital (including a seating area for guests, shower facilities, and a bed for your spouse) you do have to pay for that room. It’s nice though as the mom never has to leave that room as they bring everything for the birth in and remove it afterwards. Oh, and of course they’ll bring in a bed/crib/incubator for the baby too…

Lovely scenery. That cabin looks really well made. I think I would have opted for a larger cellar though and I would put some hinges, a retaining catch on the trapdoor and some steps, or a ladder into it. Was the ceiling in the shed made of asbestos, or galvanised iron? What is the situation with wildlife in the mountains? Any venomous snakes, or carnivorous animals to worry about with young children around? What about venomous spiders, or ticks? Is that there full-time home, or just somewhere they use for holidays? It all looks very picturesque. Do the log-cabins expand and contract with the heat, are they built with expansion gaps in them to accomodate fluctuation in temperatures? I've always liked the idea of living in a log-cabin.

You do not need to pay a penny in Canadian hospitals if you have a provincial health card. After childbirth, small promotional gifts are given to new mothers. You also receive monthly Canada child benefit, young child supplement and Alberta child and family benefit. A low-income family can get around $800 every month, maybe even more.

The purpose of this camera you are using here is to record good audio and video, period. And since GoPro breaks so often (as you stated), I recommend going with this brand, if not this device.

I have 1 gigabit down and 100 megabit up for 60 euros, in the Netherlands. Over coax cable. ISP is upgrading to fiber optical to the home and then it will be 1 gigabit up and down for about 55 euro. Or 130 euros for 5 gigabit up and down and a mobile unlimited 5G sim-card combined. And the iPhone has better image quality and sound then the Osmo. Colors are washed out on the Osmo, although I think that can be easily corrected in a video editing program.
