I know an American (born in USA, many generations here, mixed European & some Native American heritage) who married a man born in USA but parents are from Philippines. His parents in USA for many decades though as citizens, so not brand new Filipino Americans. Anyway, my acquaintance said her hubby is completely Western in his habits, she didn’t feel she adjusted in any cultural ways in their life together. But she is amazed that his parents, when they visit, she couldn’t believe how often they eat. They are both slim, petite people. But they consistently eat 6x/day, minimum. For my acquaintance it is really an adjustment, she said it is very alien to her (in a nice way).

When we first had our house, we only have family, then came a new sister, then later my paternal great aunt and her mother, then my paternal aunt and her brother. We had 12 living, halls, kitchens, bedrooms, storage, bathroom, veranda, rooms altogether. Seems your using a different camera since the brightness and contrast is different.

I just noticed the roof of your outside kitchen is made up of “nipa” and will eventually dried up and very susceptible to catching. I would suggest to take precautions while cooking like covering it with non flammable materials.

Hi Adam and Jane I've been watching your channel for over 2 years my family are planning a similar move soon, we have a baby boy and hopefully more kids in future I've been doing a lot of research from UK about the schools and have to say the international schools are ridiculously priced, is your daughter following an international program like IGCSE or IB or the local Philippine learning program, it would be much appreciated if you could share some light on the schooling system and is private a better option compared to international.

Not a big salary compared to cost of living and rent etc my friend. Earning a salary in the UK isn’t enough for many, many people there. A lot can’t cope and it’s not because they are bad with money. It is very expensive to live in the UK.

My daughter used to travel 4 kilometers to go to school for high school now she travels 15 kilometers to school for her grade 11
