Description:
This instructional film was produced for use by physicians for training rescue teams in resuscitation techniques. A narrator explains the techniques of closed-chest cardiac massage and mouth-to-nose breathing over dramatizations of cardiac arrest situations and animated illustrations.

My father, Dr. James R. Jude, was one of the co-developers of CPR. He died today, July 28, 2015. We will miss him but know that he left a legacy that is enabling many people who suffer Sudden Cardiac Arrest to live. May he rest in peace.

+Cecilia Prahl your father saved many lives through his research in developing cardiac massage. His work fifty-five years ago is saving lives today. People who faced certain death got a second chance. The procedure also opened the door for paramedic programs providing advanced emergency care on our streets and in our homes. A 1961 film submitted by Medical Archives, "External Cardiac Massage", shows your father outlining resuscitation steps for doctors. God bless Dr. Jude and God bless you and your family.
