Turns out Morris also had an outstanding bench warrant for not appearing at a previous court hearing. This exclusive documentary shows what life inside is really like for juveniles who are arrested and must go before a judge to learn their fate. You cannot rehabilitate a child with handcuffs, white walls, constant hostile environments, and a bunch of people who care more about their pockets and the law than what that child actually needs. Too many young people go in the system and return to their parents worse that they were due to them being treated like criminals and prisoners which is ultimately what they turn into.

Morris definitely a chill kid who tolerance level is low. He seem quiet & he’s attentive. His anger derives from the exposure to the stupidity of others either towards him or in general & he basically admitted to it to his mom. You can tell he’s comfortable opening up to his mom. His mom seem like she’s there but isn’t for him , she has more faith in leaving him in the care of others to assess him than her own ability to do so & he probably feels like that but haven’t had the courage to say it yet directly. The lawyer said it the best by stating he understands that “ there isn’t a solid support structure at home for him…”. My opinion his mom don’t want him, probably feel like he deserves to get what’s coming💔. That could be based on hidden resentment towards him or his father. Be surprised on how many kids get mistreated by they mom or dad based on the relationship with other 🤦🏽‍♂️. He said that the only thing he wants is to be with his family then started crying. That sounds like he feels his family isn’t there for him enough as he wants physically & emotionally. I made that conclusion bc prior before him being arrested he was free, free to be with his family. Makes you wonder if that what he truly wants & had the freedom to obtain then why is he still in need of it? That is traumatic for a kid to want. Not get. Then have to figure out why. especially when family is supposed to be that main source of support . I’ve seen kids punch walls lockers even tried the floor but those actions never was credible for arrest , in fact it was encouraged to do so the wall floor or locker rather than another person. I don’t think he’s crazy , or need to be put on meds, in fact I believe him , it’s only gonna make it worse. This kid is hurting eternally from the lack of love from ones he expects the most from. Genuine acceptance, someone who’s not just hearing him but really cares enough to understand is my take on his issue .

Some of them are genetically predisposed to some type of behavioral or mental issue(s). There are juveniles who come a two parent home who end up in juvenile facilities or prison . Let's also take into account their social environments and socioeconomic statuses.

I'm a single mom and I went through the same stuff with my son when he was young, they put him in juvie, he hooked up older boys that had done worst crimes he looked up to them though they were cool only made matters worse. He spent his teenage years going in and out of juvie, and then spent his 20s in and out of jail, I'm glad to say he's now 31 has a wife two children and hasn't been in jail for the last 8 years,

Thankfully, some states have changed how they handle juveniles and the number of kids in juvenile detention centers has dropped since we first started filming these stories. His mom called cops on him and charged him for punching holes in her wall. She felt it was better that he’s in jail. Some people say prison is the fastest way to receive mental health care..... unfortunately that mom just doesn’t know what to do anymore

When he said it feels different when I cry, I haven’t cried in so long and his mother reassured him that it’s okay to cry. That healed a place in my soul I didn’t know need it. I feel like as black people we are conditioned to be so tough skinned and not express our emotions for fear of being misunderstood. I see a lot of me in this young man. I wish him all the best ❤

he’s so aware of his emotions and behavior that is big... he is gonnaa turn around. I had a breakdown like this with my mom over my rages of anger , its a process but self awareness and acceptance is the first step! God keep your hands on him and his family 🙏🏾

My heart is breaking....I have such a soft spot for children like him...he just needs some guidance, someone to talk to that won't judge him or be angry with him. He is savable.

He later ran away from the program he was sentenced to, and then he later on committed other crimes including 1st degree armed robbery at went to adult prison (he was obviously at least 18). I think he has shitty parents - or parent - and he has absolutely no desire to be a decent person. You might as well save your heart.

I'd argue it separates the offender from what triggers their behaviour (ie. Morris' friends, and being able to run away from home). In prison hes forced to confront his problems (hence his anger revelation).

Literally witnessed this my entire life with my brother.. he really put my mom & family through a lot. I commend Morris’ Mother. Tough love, she can only do what she’s able to to do. I really hope he’s well mentally and on a better path.
