Wow! It's hard to fathom 5000 aircraft in one place. How cool is that?

It's wild seeing it in person…. If you ever get the chance to go, I highly suggest it.

This reminds me of Arlington cemetery, but for planes. It is so well kept up that it cannot be called a junkyard. Good job guys!👍💯🤠

A lot of the parts should have molding like that of building forms.

Correct. They can be refurbished and used for training if need arises.

@@lestermanning454 What's the "oo" for? US Naval vessels are sunk to provide areas for reefs to thrive. Remember, at the beginning of WWII old vessels were refurbished and sent out while new ones were being built. In the 1980s, former sailor's who had served on mothballed vessels were called up to again serve their country.

The Air Force should use the Retired A10 and put upgraded engines on them.

New wings new radios new weapons new avionics and usaf still wants to retire this legend? Stupid. F-35 will never replace A-10!!!.

The British RAF should have sent its Nimrod MRA4s (built in 2010) to Arizona for storage, like the RCAF did with its Auroras (3:57), rather than destroying them a year later in 2011 when the program was cancelled and wasting £3.5 billion of taxpayer money by chopping them up.

I still remember how the plane wreck was abandoned several years ago, why not build a museum in the area, it's a loss for the younger generation who don't know much about plane wrecks.

At 12:19, I count 5 retired(?) A380s., but at 12:38 / 14:05 is that an A350? What gives? British Airways only received its 12 A380s in 2013 and they all appear to still be in service. Why am I seeing them in France? For overhaul or were they leased?

Wow! I couldn’t watch all this cause it made me feel so sad. To see the B-52s and KC-135s of my childhood in the Air Force mothballed…it’s too much. My Dad was an officer in the Strategic Air Command, flying those planes in the 60s.

It's Pima (as in Pima County) Air and Space NOT Prima! Large commercial aircraft refurb facility in Marana (Pinal Air Park - - about 30 miles north) you totally ignored. Odd.
