I like how Robbie pretends to use a mic that is undoubtedly turned off. ;)

Was just thinking: man he’s a talented player and songwriter, but the fragility of his ego can be downright loathsome.

@@willprapestis2764 Well, he couldn't sing a lick. Couldn't even get close to hitting the correct notes.

Ego or not I love Robbie Robertson. He was so talented, wrote great songs, played great guitar, great storyteller, and was very good looking when he was young, how can you not have an ego with all that. Besides I have listen to several interviews with him and he does not come of as someone with a huge ego. Have also heard interviews with several people that knew him that don't describe him that way.@@willprapestis2764

Sorry, but I can hear his voice in this song.

@@hannejeppesen1809 No, you really can't. Unless you can hear really off pitch notes which would be stupid for the Band to let Robbie sing off key. Go listen to his solo albums, there is no singing by him. He does talk on a song or two but no real singing of notes. Some people just can't hit the right notes. In fact, I can't hit notes perfectly and that is why I was never a singer (except in the shower, LOL!). Having perfect pitch is really rare, and that is what makes great singers. Some can get close to the right pitch but aren't acceptable for a recording. Others are far from the right pitch such as my wife and Robbie. Another guy like Robbie was Don Felder of the Eagles. Frey and Henley would never let him sing because he didn't have perfect pitch and the rest of the Eagles were great singers with almost perfect voices. It always bummed him out. And he wasn't nearly as bad of a singer as Robertson.
