I wore a dress outside the house for the first time in YEARS (almost a decade) this week because you finally helped me feel proud of being a woman. I’ve spent years of my life hating my body, hating my inner femininity, and just wishing I was a man. At one point (as a young teen) this discomfort with my femininity was so extreme that I starting wondering if I was trans! each time I had brought up these concerns and self hatred filled thoughts with loved ones I was told “maybe you’re just lesbian”, “maybe you’re just trans”, “maybe you just have body dysmorphia” etc etc! No one told me “it’s normal to be uncomfortable with a changing body during puberty”, no one told me “hey that abusive boyfriend might have ingrained some self hatred into yourself”. I felt so confused and lost. I think back to who I was as a little girl and I was sooo girly, friendly, and I would tell everyone that I just wanted to grow up and be a mommy/wife or school teacher! You are one of the first POSITIVE traditional feminine role models I’ve EVER had in my life. I cannot thank you enough for the positive impact and influence you’ve had on me, my self image, and my direction in life over this last year. Thank you for making me feel accepted as a feminine woman, thank you for talking to women of all ages, thank you for normalizing the life you lead, thank you for showing gratitude, grace, and nurturing qualities in every video. Love you and your content 💕

Maura smalls Thank you so much! 💕 What’s crazy is the more feminine I dress the more feminine I find myself being in my actions! And I find myself wanting to dress more feminine when I’m conducting myself in a more ladylike way as well! ☺️ I’ve become more nurturing, more confident, more grateful, more humble, a better listener, I’ve been taking better care of my body, I’m learning to bake, and I’m saving up for an embroidery kit! Embracing my femininity has sparked a new joy in me for life, for growth, and for the people surrounding me 💫 I’ve always been someone who works hard to improve myself and my circumstances but now I feel a joy when I do it! Approaching each day with a feminine attitude has made everything so much easier and more enjoyable 😄

When I first found your channel, I thought this lifestyle was beautiful, though I couldn’t get over how someone didn’t want to make a difference in the world through a career. I recently have found Christ and reignited my faith in God, so now I completely understand how you can embrace a homemaker lifestyle! I previously based my worth on what I succeed in the world, and now I realize that through faith and the actions in my life that result from it, I can accept that someone might want to serve their husband! Our worth is not in what we achieve or do but within our reasons for living! Thank you for showing your beautiful lifestyle😊
@jk43514 жыл бұрын
Glad you found Christ, I'm still struggling with my faith...I used to have a similar mindset when it comes to having a carrier, but overtime I realized how very few jobs are meaningful, and even if I would manage to get one, my husband and I would rarely get to spend time together, and even then we would both be tired.. I'd rather give up on some things, be frugal etc. than neglect my marriage.Btw it's ridiculous how many haters say she's wasting time, not doing anything productive, and they're all complaining about their jobs all the time...

Loved the video! Small gardening tip I learned from my parents: break up the root bundles slightly when you transfer the plant from the container you bought it in into the planter. Breaking them out of the strict and constricting shape of the container will make for happier plants in the planter. Not something that makes too huge a difference I think, but something I’ve been taught to do. Loved the way the planters came out though. ^_^

I loved this vlog, especially watching you garden. Your planter turned out beautifully! :) One thing to keep in mind in the future, which will help your plants to settle in and transition to their larger space, is to "rough up" the roots a little. It allows for the roots to spread out instead of stay compact, which makes the plants more resilient. Basically, grab the bottom of the roots and squeeze your fingers through so the roots become loose. I hope that was a good explanation!
