"Why are you watching?" Because I see myself in you and understand every bit of what you are saying. I have felt the same way my whole life, with the exception of having a tiny bit of hope that was planted in me by GOOD movies I grew up with. Movies that came out in the late 70's to early 2000's. That hope was crushed some 13 years ago when I realized, through real world experience, that it is all escapism. There was no exciting adventure out there, waiting for me. It was intentionally or unintentionally planted hope. I guess I always knew it was, so when I say I realized it I am not saying I understood it in a cerebral kind of way. It hit me on a spiritual level. I could no longer pretend for the sake of self-preservation. My world crumbled and it took me almost a decade of every day struggling to find some kind of peace of mind. That peace of mind is, for me, still feeling the same way but being able to sometimes laugh at the absurd tragedy that is the human experience. I also started to do things for me and me alone. Not to feed the ego or impress anyone else. A working class human being conforming to this life is very similar to the domestication of elephants. There is only one way to domesticate an elephant and that is to completely break it. Think of how Winston in 1984 was broken down. That's how "they" do it. You claw your way through so much shit and at one point you are at your limits. That's when you either conform or lose it. You either become a good citizen or you end up in a gutter howling at the moon. There is some optimism in all of this though. On the surface I became a "good citizen", but I have escaped parts of the rat race and my mind is still free. I see the abomination everywhere I go, but I have learnt to bob and weave through some of it. You are obviously a smart young fella. You will learn too. I have to say though, "happiness" (whatever that means) might not be a reasonable or realistic goal. What I take away from your video is that you have a creative / artistic / philosophical soul. My tip to you is to feed that. Engage in something creative and hopefully that will lead to glimpses of "happiness" in your life, and meeting similar people. All truly good art is created out of despair and you have plenty of that 😉. Also, connecting with other people, as impossible as it might seem at times, is food for the soul. If you haven't yet, get off all social media. Also, do not lose yourself in the high. I have been a user since I was your age and have seen the very real and dark side of what it can do to a man, both through personal experience and friends. Best regards, A soon to be 40 year old Swedish misanthrope who still view this existence at pointless 🤘

It was not a particular event but rather the culmination of 10 years of work-life experience, personal relationships, friends, family, and understanding the state of the world. It all just came together, the smoke screen cleared. The honorable protagonist, brave and just, became an obvious lie. The human being is a cowardice and spineless piece of shit with little to no honor, no true integrity, who would crawl up his own asshole to safe face or avoid taking responsibility for his own actions. Of course there are exceptions, and we are led to believe there are many of them, but in reality exceptionell people are at best one in a million. It is estimated that about 200 billion people have walked this earth throughout all of history. That would add up to about 200,000 exceptionell people. Plenty to write about and put on display for the septic clog that is the rest of us to pat our own shoulders- and take credit for, as if we as a species are responsible for greatness when in fact the exceptionally few, for thousands of years, have fought a biblical flood of degeneracy and retardation in order to progress our civilization. Now, and since a couple of decades back, there is no natural beauty left in this world. There's is not a patch of forest to walk through, not a body of water to swim in, nor a mountain to climb without stumbling over human waste. Man made beauty, art in all of its different forms, have become nothing more than fast fashion. It's lazy, soulless, ugly, and degenerate, and you all know (well, you who have your eyes open) degenaracy is now celebrated as something brave and beautiful. There is nothing provocative about what's being pushed, promoted, and celebrated today. It's just ugly, unintelligent, and expressionless garbage that disgust and encourages weak-minded people nihilistic thoughts and behaviours. It's not only art and culture that has devolved into the complete opposite of beauty (true beauty both provoke and inspire). The natural hierarchy as been flipped upside down. Individuals of the group that in olden days would be exiled, if not beheaded, are now corporate CEOs, politicians, influencers, "stars". What should be obvious despicable traits such as excessive greed, narcissism, selfishness, or outright psychopathy is openly admired and commonly made habitual by ordinary people in order to "succeed in life". Succession in life today is nothing but egotistic self-realization. I could write you book about it, but in short; We are the scum of the earth and everything we touch turn to shit. Even though I am not religious nor believe in a supernatural higher power, I really do hope my aunt is correct when she says that Jesus, with an army of angels, will come riding down from heaven on winged horses, not with a bible in one hand and compassion in the other, but with flaming swords to teach us all a fucking lesson. @@lo433

You've finally figured it out. Life is basically enslavement to work and debt. Work for most people doesn't pay. Never has and never will. Life is merely making the best of a bad situation. Death is a blessing for us all ultimately because we will finally be freed of work and debt - both of which make life absolutely pointless and miserable. 'Seneca' (a stoic philosopher of Ancient Rome) once stated: "why weep over parts of life, the whole of it calls for tears. New miseries assail us before we have freed ourselves from the old ones".

I hate to say it but this man is spitting non stop facts. Every day I wake up and question my existence and the point of everything I am doing and everything I've done. I'm over 40 now, have a wife and family, own a house, cars and relatively high paying job but I just did all these things because it's basically what's expected I suppose. Am I happy? I don't think so. I will never be happy I don't think. To make matters worse, my wife is basically the exact same as me (which makes it all ten times worse to deal with). Life is just fucked and so much endless work...and for what? I don't know man. I guess the point is to try and enjoy the small things every day, art, music, etc. but at the end of the day I'm still always just vaguely miserable.

Most people probably think this way. Some are better at hiding it, some have enough distractions in their lives to not think about it too much, but its there for everyone. I can see why religion has been a thing for humans since it's origin, because without it we seem to have no purpose. I recently graduated university with a Master. My life right now is working a part time job and sending in a bunch of job applications for corporations that I don't care for, and that don't care for me either. In fact, no one cares about anything, it's all just fake but we all have to make living somehow so it's a game we all have to play in this modern world. Graduating did not make me happier at all, and finding real friends becomes harder and harder as you age. But yea, I really struggle to see to point in anything these days. The system that we will live in is honestly broken. We could have alot more spare time, alot more activities that brings us together, but with how the world works we have to constantly work to produce something that in turn can generate sales and money. If that product actually makes life better for anyone doesn't really matter, we have to generate an income somehow. Then we get home tired, with no desire to do anything. I also believe most people are good people at heart, but the way the world functions creates narcissistic, dysfunctional and moronic people.

I just turned 40 a few months ago and what you've had to say during this video resonates with me on so many levels. From as early as age 8, I began to realize just how rotten the world could be. From that point forth, my overall perspective towards it has steadily grown worse. Especially coming from a relatively poor household and a family that didn't have a strong sense of unity to begin with. The years that I spent in school were ultimately riddled with loneliness, anxiety, depression and aggravation. So much so, that I only found solace in drinking, smoking pot and listening to music by the time I was 16. You could say that I became a real loner. As I grew to hate almost everyone, including my parents. After finally leaving high school, I made the mistake of joining the Marines shortly thereafter and life just became 10 times shittier than it was before. To this day, I still have former backstabbing higher-ups that I would love to unleash my rage upon in the worst possible way. After leaving that dark and shitty chapter of my life behind, I began to experience quite a bit of rejection from the handful of women that I attempted to form a meaningful bond with. As well as losing friends, relatives and pets over the years. Much like yourself, I also have a job but it brings me very little, if any satisfaction on a daily basis. At this point, I'm just going through the motions every week in order to earn a fucking paycheck but there will come a time in the near future where I may just decide to quit, if my employer continues to appoint me to bullshit tasks that don't pertain to my skillset as a welder and metal fabricator. I honestly wouldn't give a fuck if they decided to let me go but I could just as easily take that power away from them by quitting.

i think every teenager/young adult goes through this phase in their life where reality hits them. it's like finding out santa claus isn't real but much worse. you realize life on its own has no meaning and being an adult, for the most part, isn't fun. responsibilities, bills, and existential crises keep you from being able to enjoy your life. however, it's better to not think of life as being set up this way but rather accepting it for what it is and finding your own meaning that keeps you going. that's why people place so much value on their kids, significant others, hobbies, goals, etc. because they see the future in those things. and i think that's what we all need to do whenever we feel this way. the future may not be guaranteed but it's better to have a plan or a goal in mind than to live life sinking in its grim reality. the book "catcher in the rye" is one i would recommend reading because it describes these feelings perfectly. this video is a few years old so i hope nathan is doing is okay and if he's reading this, i hope you found something to live for

You can be saved by simply believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, not by trusting in your good deeds to earn you eternal life. Please make the best decision of your life and continue reading for 2 min. The gospel: “...how that Christ died for our sinnes according to the Scriptures: And that he was buried, and that he rose againe the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Cor 15: 3-4 KJV) You are not unique; every human being has sinned and continues to sin daily. No person will live with God until they are deemed perfect and righteous. That can’t be done by you trying to reform your life, so we need another solution. If you believe that Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead, God promises you eternal life at this very moment. Your mortal body may die, but your being (spirit) will never cease to exist and God will also resurrect your mortal body in the future like in Jesus’ case. That is why the resurrection is important because it shows Jesus is also able to also resurrect you. What does it mean to believe? It is not complicated - to believe is to be convinced that something is true. If you think it is true that Christ died for all of your sins and rose from the dead, you are saved. It has nothing to do with changing your life, going to church, reading your bible, or stopping whatever bad things you do. If you trust in your good deeds instead of entirely Jesus, then you effectively do not believe that Christ died for all of your sins. You have to let Jesus carry the entire load of your sin. It is like if I said I trust you to do well on your online exam, but then I offer to help you on some questions; I don’t actually trust you then. You don’t have to worry about stopping your sin because Jesus paid for all of them - simply trust him to follow through with his promise. Romans 5 likens salvation to a free gift; a gift is already free by nature, but a free gift leaves no room for interpretation. All you have to do is take the gift freely by believing. Nobody can force you to take a gift. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saued, through faith, and that not of your selues: it is the gift of God: Not of workes, lest any man should boast.” We SHOULD do good deeds after being saved because good is still good and bad is still bad. However, we need to separate that from salvation; the only obligation for salvation is faith (Acts 16:31 and Titus 3:5). Even if you stop believing in Christ, or do a number of evil things, you would still go to heaven. That initial belief is what saved you from Hell already. However, doing bad things is quite shameful so I would not recommend it. After you have believed, you should try to live right to help others and benefit your current life. Jesus promises you eternal life now (present tense possession hath/have), not in the future. You can know for sure that you have everlasting life the moment you believe. 1 Timothy 3:16 and John 1:14 tell us that Jesus is God manifest in the flesh, the Word (one of Jesus’ titles) made flesh. God cannot lie as Titus 1:2 shows; you can be assured that he will never break his promise. John 5:24 “Uerily, verily I say vnto you, Hee that heareth my word, & beleeueth on him that sent mee, hath euerlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation: but is passed from death vnto life.” There are many other verses that show all it takes is faith, but hopefully this makes salvation very clear. This makes true Christianity distinct from all other religions like Catholicism and Islam, among hundreds of other smaller religions. Choose the one that is unlike the others. Other religions do not guarantee eternal life as it is based on whether you are good enough.

I’m so sorry for all of your losses. not having meaning in life is a hard place to be. i agree with you, i think some of the best parts in life are the times spent with family and friends. you’re not alone in your loneliness though. and you can look at your life as almost a clean slate. i know how hard it is to build back what was lost, but you don’t have anything tying you anywhere now. your options are endless. even though this is a tragic point in your life, you can take these feelings and make them into something greater! i posted this video 2 weeks ago then forgot about it. i came back to see this crazy amount of reception, all the great words of advice, and all the people that feel the same way i do. it’s mind blowing, but it shows me that i’m not alone. and you’re not either ❤️ i’m brainstorming the next video, so look out for it in the next few days. i hope it can offer you a bit of solace in this time of distress.

I've mostly been trying to have a positive outlook on life, but this man's astute observation of how bullshit life really is, awakens a familiar feeling in me that i've had since high school. You feel so important but at the same time you are just a flicker in the universe, and the struggle to come to terms with those two truths. I'm trying to graduate with a computer science degree but the truth is, i hate it. I got into university as soon as i finished high school because that's what everyone else around me did at the time. I don't have any dreams or aspirations. I hate how your only motivation to study is being threatened with bad grades. Even if i manage to get my degree i will just end up slaving my life away to some company. I never really understood people that genuinely enjoy life. Highschool, university, career opportunities, friendships, relationships, marriage, family. It’s all a farce, it’s all fake. You are not the car you drive or the money that you have in the bank or the contents of your wallet. Friends always leave you and relationships often don’t last. Surely you can see the futility of it all. I have to do all these things like i’m an actor in some movie except this is not a movie, it’s real life. It makes me feel alienated, like i don't belong here.

What we should do is focus on our lives and live normal life, and be healthy. That is what every other being does. You can learn from them. I hope you understand me.

There are a lot of dwelling souls like yourself with these thoughts my friend, just try to make the best out of life as you can, and if opportunities are presented then take them, and yes life is not fair for most people, but that doesn´t mean you can´t work on improving yourself. Don´t do crazy stuff like suicide or crime, just do the grind until you have enough to make necessary changes.

This video just awakened me again for real, made me realize what tf am i actually doing, im at my happiest when im with friends and having fun, simple as that. its what i should be doing more. the whole dynamic and structure previous generations have implemented has had radically deep consequences on recent generations. Its not it, its unnatural to live how we do now, and i dont see anything getting better unfortunately, at least not for a while. You will be better off on working hard and invest the money wisely you get on your hands; you are still young and I think it's the best route to take. Don't give up on hope man

This is so real. I’ve been struggling to stay afloat and make something of myself. I got a degree and can’t even land a job in the field I got my degree in. I’m in my 30’s living with my family. I feel stuck. I feel trapped. It’s like no matter how hard I try, I just come up short. The older I get, the more I realize, life is just a pointless and meaningless journey. What’s it all for?

I used to feel the same void inside me, but after almost 22 years of my life and after many events that happened, I called to God and He answered back. He has filled me with His Holy Spirit and the void inside of me was gone and my depression and purposelesness was changed to joy, love and great purpose. Call upon the name of Jesus Christ and ask Him to give you His Holy Spirit, who is the helper that God gives freely to all who repent from their sins and ask for Him to give Him! Matthew 11: “28. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Jeremiah 29: “11. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” All who accepts Jesus Christ as their only Lord and Savior and repent from their sins shall be saved and will inherit eternal life and happiness in the kingdom of God! But all who do not will have to pay for their own mistakes in the lake of fire. Be wise, don’t do evil and choose to do good, that is to follow Jesus! Amen!

My advice to you, brother... serve others. When you notice somebody needs help with something, just show up to assist them in any way you can. What you will reap from being there for others will reward your spirit more than you could ever fathom. It sounds like that's something that will deplete you and just take from you... but it will actually have the opposite effect. Seeing others benefit from something you contributed to is incredibly rewarding. Things will fall into place that you never could've expected when you have a selfless mentality. I hope you see this and I hope you're doing well man. Take care

Im trying to bring the best out of mine, and i like living, even though im not in the most fortunate circumstances. Ever since i heard the quote 'the process is irrelevant, results are what matter' is one of my favorite lines, and i employ it as a way to cheat and reduce time i spend working a meaningless job, and keep helping people, or spend time in solitude, on passion projects or lazying about. Im proud of the small achievements i have and happy about what i got, never ungrateful. Even if its probably purposeless in the end, i appreciate the journey and the little things. A little breeze on my face can make me happy, or i can marvel at ambience or environments, architecture, nature, art, creations of humankind. Im happy about hearing things and the ability to locate their source just by ear. Idk, sounds simple but hard to explain, i think its kinda deeper than what i can put into words with my limited phrasing.

I can relate so much to everything you are saying. I’m just trying to get through each day till it is over with. At my work I make the most of the small things. I come across as happy and super positive and loving to talk to all of the regulars. Truth is, I put on that face and attitude so that way I can make it through the day. Once I’m home alone, reality hits. I wish I didn’t have to exist. I don’t mean that in a suicidal way. I don’t think I would do anything to myself. I just wish I didn’t have to experience life anymore, is freaking exhausting. I feel so dissociated, just not here, at all.

I hate brainless positivity so here it goes. We are all on a place that doesn't matter. It's unique but still doesn't matter no matter how you spin it. Everyone will be forgotten. Everyone. You don't have to be here and you shouldn't think of yourself as having an obligation to anything. I stay because I want to see what happens even if it's bad. It's like a big story. Don't take it too seriously. It's just life. Do you ❤

Dead on. The purpose of life is to simply exist (if you believe in a Creator). Saw many NDE’rs claim that all we’re here for is to simply experience duality in the physical. There’s no such thing as “purpose” in that regard. Hence why some people are born so disabled that they can’t “achieve” anything. Doesn’t matter. None of it does. As long as your heart is beating, you are winning. Which is why offing yourself is the ultimate offense. Humans create unnecessary stress by setting “goals” and expectations.
