In Turkey the minimum wage is 17,002.12₺ per month. A usual rent is around 15-20k₺. A single M.D. burger is 300₺. If my calculations are correct, after eating 56 burgers, you're literally homeless. Welcome to the future.

Corporate greed is making the prices high. Inflation is just a word they hide behind. Record corporate profits year after year is driving the inflation. My advice to you is to get a job that is unionized or get into a skilled trade job. It is your best bet. Do not drown yourself in college debt. College degrees don’t mean shit anymore unless it is for a lawyer or doctor etc.
@youngpoet44hunnies
@youngpoet44hunnies 4 ай бұрын
I completely disagree inflation isn't caused by corporate greed or profits. Indeed there is a malicious greed among us. I can sympathize with the sentiment but factually you're wrong. Inflation is a result of the central banking policy + supply n demand

@TimmyTheTinman
@TimmyTheTinman 4 ай бұрын
@@youngpoet44hunnies You could also do community college but you also need experience and you could do that through internships. I know there are other ways in college but college certainly helps because if you’re just gonna walk up to a news station and say hey I’m a journalist, give me a job and you don’t have a degree they’re gonna laugh at you in the face.

@youngpoet44hunnies 4 ай бұрын
@TimmyTheTinman right I mentioned how to get experience though because in journalism experience is much more important. Going to a news station and applying for a job isn't what I prescribed nor is it getting experience. U have no experience l. Again getting experience would be to just go report on the news yourself.

Get out of the corporate soul crushing meaningless job scene of working for some corporation earning a set wage.

Like pretty much everything, it is tougher to do now with higher interest rates, but rental property is a HUGE one for money working for you (i.e. passive income). Nathan is a smart young man to already be thinking about buying a cheap property to rent out for passive income. If you can't get a loan to buy your first rental property, you will have to grind like crazy in this environment. Living in your vehicle, side hustles if time/energy permit, sell plasma for extra cash and save every penny you can until you can afford at least a cheap rental property. It will take a ton of discipline and sacrifice, but it won't be a permanent situation, so keep reminding yourself of that. Once you start collecting rent, you can either continue the same lifestyle and buy a 2nd, 3rd property or you can get yourself a cheapish place and slowly build towards another property or other smart investments. The discipline you will build in yourself will serve you well in EVERYTHING for the rest of your life and having even small passive income is life changing. I really hope this helps some of you young men.

Bro Nathan hall I have the money saved to put a good down payment and it still isn't good enough to have a decent mortgage every month so honestly chasing for materialistic things is a waste of time. Just make sure you got money saved and if you have family from your side or your woman's side that can let you guys be roommates would be best bc no one can live on there own anymore in this era. But yea "the American dream" what a fucking joke?! Lol.

there's a lot of "well paying" positions that will either hire you as an apprentice or pay for your training. truck drivers always need people and when I was looking into it half the company's would pay for your cdl training,,,also electricians, hvac, carpentry, landscaping etc...if you dont go to school shit like that is your best option. its hard work but you can make a decent living off of it.
@kalof3l51

This is such a lie as well. If you are looking at sites like indeed and seeing this it’s a lie. People keep saying no one wants to work but that’s a lie, they don’t want to hire even when they say they do. They say hiring an apprentice but then require you to have 2 years experience, some certification already and so on. Truck driving? Lmao. If you are going that route you will never make it. Why do you think trucking companies need people so bad? Because they won’t pay enough for you to survive so no one wants to do it. Most the entry level places hiring for cdl driving will take you away for weeks at a time and then pay you somewhere between 2500 and 3000 a month…. That is not worth not a single persons time. Miss your child’s life so you can still not pay your bills lmao… no thanks.

Look into the IBEW. It’s the electrical union. I’m currently a Groundman trying to get into the lineman apprenticeship. Is it hard work? Yes. Is it dangerous? Yes. However it’s one of the only opportunities I have been given in my life. I’m grateful for it and I’m running with it. Plus the potential to make a lot of money helps. I’ll never hate on anyone for whatever route they take in life. We’re all dealt different cards. It sounds like you’re in the south, if you go into the lineman apprenticeship don’t go into SELCAT. Get into ALBAT or NEAT. Which is basically different jurisdictions of the IBEW. You’ll know what I mean if you look into it. You can even look into the IBEW’s inside wireman apprenticeship which is an electrician. Or even the IUEC which is the elevator construction union, they make bank too. Just trying to give you some ideas man. I know you’re young, and I know it seems confusing. You’ll get it figured out. I’m turning 25 soon and I know what it’s like to live in these times. Good luck and god bless you mane.
