Most definitely. All these other so called guru's try to make us have to do mental gymnastics, this guy shows life really is very simple. The information highway started bogging everyone down and made everyone think that the more complicated life is the better it is. Cases of massive depression and anxiety shows otherwise. Thank you for waking me up especially with this video.

I hate to be the one focusing on the negative, but I wonder who watches such spiritually positive video that doesn’t judge anyone and then hits the thumbs down button? Like how did they get here, why are they here?
@CalmVibesVee5 жыл бұрын
Maybe they have unhealed wounds? They are discouraged? Some people are in a place of darkness still that when they are faced with the Light they run back to the dark and hit thumbs down on the way out. It is a spiritual blindness of sorts and they cant see just yet. They are in a painful place however maybe next time they will pick up a little more light. Hopefully baby steps. It is our kindness and patience with them that can point them to positive living. Let us keep encouraging others with giving our love. Love can heal others. Amen.

ForgiveAndLove09 definitely. I have suffered with depression and understand there is not a cure for it. There will always be highs and lows. I just have a hard time relating bc even in my lows tearing someone else down has never crossed my mind. Others thriving helps pull me out of my lows and gives me hope. I hope one day these people will come to that point bc it is such a relief. 🙏🏾

Life is hard. We sometimes can become the product of our past and the human mind is hard to control and make peace with. Keeping peace and finding yourself and saying true to yourself is hard in it self. Humans do make life more complicated but we can also learn to make it more simple and uncomplicated. 💜

I saw a nature show a few years ago that really opened my mind. It was about gorillas. What did they do all day? They woke up, foraged for some food, napped, socialized, foraged for food, socialized, mated, napped, socialized, slept. It's what most animals do. But, as you say, we humans had to go and make things harder than necessary.

I think every life-form has this yearning for eternity. We, being humans with our complicated brains, are always trying to shape our environment to somehow bring us closer to this "ever-lasting paradise". I guess that's why we always strive for the idea of "success/money/fame/wealth/etc". But because all the things we do involve sacrifices either directly or indirectly, people have vastly different opinions on everything. Imagine that we have all these advancement, cultures and languages around us, I guess it just makes us perceive life as highly complex. Just my thought... But, I really like your perspective of trying to simplify things, which I'm currently working on. Cheers!

I agree with these points for the most part, however, comparisons to lives in the past from the standpoint that they were "simple" or "easy" is problematic. What we would call a "simple, happy life" today is only possible because of the technological and cultural advancements that we have made as a species. If any of us were suddenly plopped into lives 200, 1K, or 10K years ago, we would soon realize that things were stressful, difficult, and dangerous as compared to modern standards. Yes, people today can hop in an RV, drive around, get jobs here and there, and live simple and happy lives. But, that is only possible because there are such things as RVs, jobs, grocery stores, and a society with laws and culture that almost ensure that nobody will kill you and take your stuff.

When my life is so amazingly boring is when I choose to look at it as if it's challenging. I choose to look for problems. I choose to look for reasons to invalidate myself due to not having the stresses of others being productive. I really just want to make music and drive my car. Maybe snuggle my cat. I'm already making tons of music on my own, 473 beats on SoundCloud in 3 years. I really just want to maintain that. If I could travel and meet some of these people I know online that'd be beautiful. That's about it. My long term goal is to play my music on the regular at a music lounge, where people can appreciate my stuff. Like an art gallery, but for beats. That would be amazing.

I like your outlook. Keeping it simple makes life a lot easier, but, I hear a lot of people conflate a complicated life with civilization and technology. These two are easy scapegoats, but what's really at issue (IMHO) is how you determine your self-worth. What makes you say, "I did good today"? If you come out of the day alive, with your necessities, and feel that you have made the world a better place, (honestly, just getting somebody to smile or something like that), you win. This is even possible in the middle of the city, with modern technology permeating your life. Just remember that the technology and the city are there to serve you, not the other way around.

I think that everything is going way too fast for my taste. So I had to change things. I don't want to work anymore during the day. I work during the night. It's so much easier on the highway, it's so peaceful, it's quiet and calm. For years I did work for a lot of companies. But I was never offered a better status, a promotion etc So today if they would offer it to me I would say no. Why? Because I have the perfect balance between my life, family, job and happiness. So why change anything? To have more responsabilities and more pay? To completly destroy what I have right now? Stay at work during hours more just to fulfill the needs of my boss? No way. I prefer to create several sources of income. I think pretty much like Tim. All of this is not necessary for me. It's not what I want. One thing I would like to have. Be able to retire really soon. Do just seasonal jobs. Just like you are doing.
